Well now, Olise's agent banned from dealing. . . [Link]

In football transfers, before I get ripped, god you lot really.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

Wow! Whose a naughty boy then?

What brutal punishment.... 15k fine (after pocketing 900k) and a 6 month ban - after the transfer window closes. The FA really knows how to dish it out!

BBC Report:

Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise's agent has been banned for six months for breaching rules around a future transfer of the player when he was at Reading in 2019:

[Link]

'Glen Tweneboah was found to have breached Football Association rules by entering into an agreement that would see him eligible for a 10% cut of Olise’s future transfer fee, although no such payment was ever made'

Other than Newcastle or Tottenham I can’t see Olisebeing an absolute starter for any other traditional top 6. City and arsenal are really shying away from crosses and just passing a team to death on the edge of the box, his injury record hasn’t been great Don’t think olise has the defensive work rate to match those clubs either. I’m more concerned of the likes of psg or Bayern. One more year with us, push for a top half finish and a decent cup run. If he has a great season the I’m thinking Madrid could be ideal for him. Very similar situation with Eze in my opinion. A lot of flair but not great defending.

Aren't the traditional top 6 clubs Man U, Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs, Man City and Liverpool

Newcastle aren't a traditional top 6 team. Olise would clearly start for Man U , Chelsea (although Madueke is improving), Spurs and Liverpool (assuming they manage to shift Salah).

i think Liverpool are the team he may go to, if Salah goes, guaranteed start, Champions league and big money, hope he stays for another year at least, better options for him then, and better for us, as long as he doesn't get another injury

Yes, Liverpool would be the one club where I could see him jumping to if interest was expressed with the Salah leaving factor.

Would actually make sense.

I am cautiously optimistic with regard to the rest of the table. He is exactly the sort of player Spurs would be into but they can't offer CL football now and Villa have two fine wingers who would hope to start ahead of him. Not Villa's first area of priority to strengthen.

Chelsea, Newcastle and United can't offer CL football either and I am hoping Newcastle will only have Conference League at best to reduce chances of turning Olise's head.

If we kept sales to just Guehi plus a few faces coming in to strengthen the squad, he might just be convinced to stay with the proviso of showing off the full extent of his skills in a coherent, attacking team to suitors over an entire season. Then who knows how we might get on!?

I ain't got nuthin' funny to say. Sorry.

If Olise really is a Man U fan as claimed by click-bait, would he want to go to Liverpool?

Wasn't there a player who's name escapes me (George.....?) who claimed to be a die hard Palace fan but when given the chance to sign with us went to someone like Hull City

Olise is smart with the release clause. Apparently too, the clubs have to go directly through him, rather than Palace (this may have been Chelsea's mistake last season).

What it enables him to do is collect a bunch of offers. For Palace it's the same (65 million, or whatever it is). But for him, he can set the clubs against each other to demand the best compensation package. He's in total control.

He will leave in the summer because someone is going to at least double, if not triple his salary, which is something we can't match. Obviously he'll want playing time, but I think most teams will play him pretty much every game at that salary.

How does that affect current 'tapping Up' rules, I wonder? seems he's found a loophole!

That recent Chelsea court case brought transfer dealings into the spotlight. Although it seemed like you can just make sh1t up and threaten people and get paid off. It sounds like speak to a footballer sometime - mention a club. Send an email and a WhatsApp and Bob's your uncle - 500k please. Or I f***ing nick your watch and car.
