Couldn't he cut out the middle-man and go straight to Newcastle, then we keep Guéhi?

If he's as good as touted, I'd rather have him on a longer contract than Guehi. Guehi won't sign a new contract and his value will diminish massively over the next year or so. Plus, we managed well without him while he was injured, so hopefully won't impact the first team too much if/when he leaves but we will need a good replacement still. Also, if Guehi goes first and they know we have that money they'll increase the fee wanted.

After SP's interview with Sky, I can see Guehi staying - at least until Jan. I have a feeling that we'll still buy Lacroix as his replacement this window and that'll give him time to get to know the squad. If that happens I think Holding will leave in this window. Hmmm - maybe I should start a clickbait site - LOL!
