Yes, it was very exasperating. And here's a larger point: why does MOTD persist with Danny Murphy? No-one goes 'Hey, Doris, come in, quick! Danny Murphy is on MOTD tonight!' Instead, the nation sits and watches his miserable unsmiling face, perched like an egg above a procession of dreary Merino wool buttoned-up jumpers, droning on in his monotonous voice. In years of watching him, he's never made me smile, never shown any wit, never brought any insight. What he does is offer a sneery, superior commentary without charm. And he is always condescending about Palace. Even when he was forced to say something positive about Eze's fantastic scissors kick, he has to change it into a snide remark about Palace not being able to keep hold of him. Ugh.

Smug little t***, how would he know? yes there’s a obviously a chance he could leave, but it’s not definite like he said, he’s under contract and one thing we know about Parish after the Wilf will he or won’t he every transfer window, is he won’t let Eze or Olise go without someone making us a silly offer we can’t refuse.

Shay Given was excellent last week with shearer reviewing our game, I was really surprised by the insight into our performance and review of 4 or 5 players. This week it seemed rushed and Danny Murphy was lazy with his review, even the presenter called him out on his comments.

It is a shame but I don’t think it’s personal to put us last

Agreed - we could have won 10-0 and we still would've been at the end of the show. We're not part of the title race or the relegation battle (anymore) so it doesn't make good TV to show us. If anything we're lucky the producers decided to put the Coventry/United game at the end of the show otherwise we would have been a mere footnote on the programme.

That was the logic, hard to disagree but if you don't like Danny Murphy be careful what you wish for - could be Paul Merson next.

Or Joe Cole. He was a guest on TalkSport yesterday and you could barely understand what he was talking about. He seems to finish sentences in his head but the words don't come out of his mouth, and so it appears as if he changes topic mid sentence over and over again. He just doesn't have the brain or vocabulary to be a pundit.

Don't care.

Danny Murphy is usually good, but if he thinks Eze will go I guess he's just reflecting all our concerns. I hope Eze stays, of course, but it really doesn't bother me what anyone on MoTD thinks.

Of course it could happen, but I think it’s the smug cockshore way he said it, like it’s definitely going to happen that bugged people. Thinks he knows it all

I quite like Danny Murphy insofar as he is one of the better pundits and is mostly very good.

I personally get more annoyed with Dwight Yorke who reportedly said Man U should lob £80m at Palace to get Eze and Olise. Is he having a laugh?!

Olise it's widely reported it's a £60m release clause, which will almost certainly be triggered even though he has had an injury filled season. Eze I think would take a very large offer. Surely £80m minimum. West Ham are trying to get £85 for Pacqueta. Eze is easily as good and English too, which tends to come with a premium.

I think there was probably an agreement with Glasner before he took the job, which came with the scenario of losing Eze or Olise in close season or both and using most of that money to rebuild.

When it is top 6 like all pundits they know their onions.

When it is anyone else, they revert to broad-sweep cliche and blog-speak.

Thus, the sales of our players. We are not a selling club. None since AWB 5 years ago. Only a player adamant to leave and/or financial regs will force a sale. Thus...

Blog - Manure may be looking elsewhere other than Olise for X reasons. Thus, the deal was in an advanced stage and now Manure have diverted attention elsewhere, perhaps to force down the price.

"Reality" - Olise wants to stay, the club want him to stay, Manure have not even made an approach.

Now, I don't know if this is true. Problem is, neither do the bloggers. They just want traction for their blogs to earn cash. Bigger problem, that traction feeds into the rumour mill and is repeated by people who should know better.

I think Eze will sign a new contract this summer.

I don't really care, I only watch the highlights and the managers' comments and skip through the studio rubbish

That’s a brilliant point, the times I’ve said to someone or myself while watching these pundits “how the bloody hell would he know?” You just know they don’t sit and watch every single minute of every single game, maybe Murphy would watch every Liverpool game or Shearer would watch every Newcastle game, but when they make bold statements about the likes of us, Luton, Burnley or as you say anyone outside their clubs or the big 6, you think ‘really, how would you possibly know that?’

To answer the question.

In the past we played such terrible football that we were always a shoe-in for last match to be shown.

Hopefully, with our new style of adventurous play we will be candidates for earlier showings and, who knows, competing for a European place.

But I do agree we feel, not without justification, that many of the 'pundits' seem to be 'anti-Palace' - but that will change.
