The Uniparty is about to change from a blue shade to a red shade. Rayner is deemed surplus to requirements for the new administration. So it moves against her now by way of avoiding too much embarrassment later on.

Ignore the specifics but focus on the timing. Key to everything at the moment.

No. Starmer is their man. A US State Department Asset. Suspect they snared him during his time as head of the DPS. Rayner was only ever a put up by way of placating the left of the Labour Party. Now, with an election in a matter of months, she needs to go. She is simply surplus to requirements now.

My guess is she has been bought off with perhaps a move to a Think Tank or similar as a pay-off if she goes without making to much of a fuss. Maybe even a cushy little appointment in the Charity sector. Will make a show of resisting and then go within a matter of weeks. Might even stand down before the next election. Even possibly going the Ed Balls route. 'Brazzers on Roller-Skates' or some such trite TV nonsense for the entertainment of the plebs.

But she is history. The final defeat for the Corybnites.

Words that should never be in the same sentence, Rayner and think-tank

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

LOL. But, and I am certainly no fan of Ms Rayner, Think-Tanks are primarily staffed by some of the most stupid people in the world. She must, just by stint of statistics, be no thicker than most of them. And probably actually possessing a bit more real world experience as well.

They are actually anti-Think-Tanks since their primary business model is to make up research/manipulate data in any way they can to support whichever proposition their customer favours. No more than the supposedly academic part of the Lobbying industry which lays at the heart of what is so so wrong with our body politic.

At one end they knock out reports which are consistently proven to be utter tosh whilst at the other it's all coke and rent boys. But ultimately all with the same aim of swaying politicians to do what is not in the public interest.

She would fit in well with almost all of them.

Can't argue with that

Your points about her leaving as she is now not required are fine but it doesn't alter the fact that she has been backed by every top Shadow Minister in the Labour Party as well as one knee himself.
There is going to be a lot of egg on face if she is found guilty, as I hope that she will be.
It will show that they - like the Tories - are not to be trusted and with inflation falling and more money in (very depleted) pockets it might not be the easy street for Labour that it once appeared.
If she is found not guilty then she will just crap on everyone from a great height with her Marxist ideals.

On various website I have seen people defending her and claiming this is all Tory spin and even if she is guilty so what its a minor transgression and a waste of public money.

The same people who no doubt were chomping at the bit over the COVID parties.

Angela Raynor is an attack dog and she does that role very well, exposing the lies and hypocrisy of the government. However if you are going to play that role you need to be whiter than white to retain your creditability.

All of the things she has now been accused of she has accused others of often without definite proof e.g. Suank's wife must declare her tax returns. She has never been slow in demanding people's resignations.

So on that basis others are entitled to call her our out even if it later turns out she is innocent of all charges. It never stopped her.

Likewise with the media we had wall to wall reporting on Cakegate etc. so the idea that this is just the Tory media seems a bit hollow. The media went after Cummings and Boris et all with gusto it's what they do.

Correct.
If you want to go after others then expect to be a target yourself and if you are not perfect then expect s*** to come out.
The only thing in her favour, is that the media are - on the whole - on her side, and they will not be spending time digging dirt on her, in the same way as they would with a Tory who transgressed.

A millionaire unelected prime minister whose family used non-domicile tax schemes to avoid paying taxes in this country, 'smearing a' working-class girl'.
