I just hope that this is a wake up call to more normies on the right that the Conservatives are not your party. They are hand in hand with the people who....kind of want you gone. I regard the Reform party as weak and not much better than the Tories themselves however I'm convinced that Hitchens was right over ten years ago. Teach Sunak and his brethren the lesson they so badly deserve and let the champagne socialists embarrass themselves in power....quite frankly people need a taste of what they say they want. The Conservative party as the party it is must die....or at least change its name.

Anderson and Khan are cut from the same cloth both pin their political survival on appealing to a certain group. I am not sure I know what either really believe in. But fair play to Lee as I can't think of many who have been chucked out of both Labour and the Tories. Whatever the merits of this though I suspect only one of the two will find themselves re elected.

As Wisbech and I have pointed out, what Anderson said isn't racist. Yet, it's racism he's had the whip removed for.

We live in a world where any criticism of a particular religious group is called racism, unless they are White and 'Christian' of course. Firstly, a religion is not a race, if we accept that scientifically inaccurate term, and denying the right to criticism gives anyone carte blanche to do what they please. We clearly have Islamists and their sympathisers in this country. To fear their influence and to defend against their objectives is not the same as besmirching every single Muslim. It is most certainly not 'Islamophobia', not that I accept that term as sensible under any circumstances. The lack of nuance along with the political game playing simply obfuscates the real issues here.

From the Times : “Rishi Sunak is facing warnings from Red Wall Tory MPs of a voter backlash over his sacking of Lee Anderson, according to leaked WhatsApp messages. Some Conservative MPs have privately been telling colleagues that their inboxes have been flooded with supportive messages about Mr Anderson". I shall now concentrate my efforts on the football debates, my political communications and discussions away from HOL are extensive ! Edited by Willo (26 Feb 2024 10.54am)

I immediately thought that Sunak would have been better off to support Anderson and call out all of the Muslim lobbies holding influence over Khan and Labour. Edited by ASCPFC (26 Feb 2024 11.00am)

It is quite obvious that Anderson is not accusing Kahn of being a radical Islamist but suggesting that his actions and words are designed to placate Muslim voters and by doing so give them influence over the politics of London and therefore the country. How can this be denied? It is a predictable development when our politicians allow London to become a White minority city. That’s completely illogical. The estimated number of Londoners who are Muslim is 15%. How many are either entitled or registered to vote? Even with the decline in religious belief Christians still outnumber them. If you wanted to concentrate on only one section of society it would be stupid to pick a minority

Lee Anderson is savvy so I doubt he said this accidentally and I see him possibly joining Reform, he does a lot of door knocking and knows his constituents inside out. Khan for me is appalling beyond words as a mayor and would do anything to appease his substantial muslim vote. Can someone explain how the Met can allow a pro Hamas slogan to be projected onto the Palace of Westminster clock tower and take no action at all. From the river to the sea is a Hamas slogan and appears in their literature etc so I'll take no lecture that it is a harmless peaceful political message. It means the extinction of Israel
If the answer is it would have casused trouble with the crowd then we have reached a point where if the mob is suitably intimidating the police will not act. Jaw dropping Khan is supposed to be for all Londoners but clearly he only cares about certain groups.

Once again that has nothing at all to do with what Mr Anderson said. There are millions of stupid things done every day. But they don't all cost £6,300,000 before being done when they could have been decided on the back of an envelope.
