Basics:
Fitness. Be prepared to play for 105 minutes.
Possession. Don’t lose it stupidly, at throw ins for example.
Cut down on the p1ss poor passing.
Tactics: Don’t park the bus at 1-0.

This is schoolboy stuff.

More technical: investigate reasons for so many hamstrings going. Can the training be adjusted to improve it.

If OG could do the above and add his own magic, Euros here we come.

Good post. Fitness is a key area where this side has got away with it for some time now, and probably be said to be responsible for the number of late goals conceded.
Exorcise all Royball mentality and play on the front foot. Hodgson held this side back as I expect Glasner will illustrate.

I'm sure you believe that.

My advice is don't visit any betting shops.

I'd like to be 1-0 up against Burnley and pushing for a 2nd.

Rather than rolling over and inviting them to have a go.

This is a decent point. Sitting back at 1-0 didn't work - as shown most recently in our last match.

Just throwing this out there -
Fitness - to be able to be on it for 105 minutes.

What would probably be interesting info would be to be able to see where we have lost games in the last 15 minutes because we were lower in fitness levels that the opposition as opposed to those games that we lost on the final 15 minutes where the opposition had a much stronger bench than us & brought on players to turn the game in their favour that we couldn't match the skill set or intensity.

I expect to see us more on the front foot with both Edouard and Mateta starting, at least until Olise and Eze return.
I also expect to continue to see a back 3 with the full backs expected to provide width.
Apparently part of Glasner's presentation during the interview process was how he would play in the absence of Eze and Olise to carry more threat.

IMO the late goals aren't due to lack of fitness. Its mentality.

The players are broken mentally, and are so desperate not to lose, that they forget what makes them a good team. Against Everton we sat deep immediately after the goal, that's not tiredness. If we sit and defend for the last 20 mins of every game we are likely to concede

Sky Germany reported amazement that Glasner was joining a "small English club".

In a way I see their point as Wolfsburg and Eintracht have European pedigree and we have that Zenith Data thing. However...

Firstly, outside Bayern Munich and a couple of other clubs, the Bundesliga ain't all that. The EPL is the dominant force in world club football and we are now in our 11th season bang in the middle of it.

Secondly, a closer examination of Glasner. A filler of trophy cabinets, sure, but he was sacked from his last job for not winning for 10 games. His CV is toxic in Germany, he has a reputation for being difficult with management, and there was no orderly queue for his services. What better place to launder his CV than in a club like ours in the best league in the world?

The match is about right, I would say.

Pretty accurate analysis I'd say.

Yup I don't see this as a long term appointment, 2 years max.

He will either do well and move to a bigger club or will get fired.

My expectations of him are that he gets the team to move the ball quicker and be more aggressive instead of trying to sit on a nil nil or one nil lead.

Err, regarding the WW2 gags, the gentleman is Austrian. Unless you think there is still is a deep-rooted affection for the Anschluss in Vienna.
