i read somewhere, cant remember, that Textor orchestrated it. Given that Ed Aarons broke the story and Textor's used him as his mouthpiece when briefing against Parish it seems likely

Oh great. Funny you should think that. If you read up on him and his football philosophy he’s probably exactly what we need.

I think it's a risky move and one that's very un-Parish like. If Glasner was coming in during the summer then I would feel a lot more positive. He looks to have the attributes we were hoping for in a new manager but he also has to adapt very quickly to the Premier League. depending on Roy's health we might have had to bring someone in anyway. What was the alternative - Paddy to the end of the season? Appreciate OG wasn't hired on the basis of Roy's ill health but it's how things have landed. Who knows how much the health thing is related to the other parts of this story. Either way it's possibly an indicator that Roy needs to step back (aside from the football side of things).

Textor definitely has previous with him. He turner Lyon down in the summer. So he turned down a Textor run club in the summer. Im quite glad that we aren’t a Textor run club and still have faith in Steve Parish as chairman (I know others disagree) Isn’t it telling then, that he’s happy to join a club that doesn’t have Textor at the helm? The board really need to find a buyer to get him out, his multi club philosophy can not work for Palace. Edited by RichardJP (15 Feb 2024 10.08pm)
