If our central defense returns to form, I'd feel much more optimistic, even without Olise and Eze. Guehhi and Andersen were so dependable for so long, and Mitchell solid during his good spells, even strong teams could be drawn. Often either Guaita or Johnstone kept us alive in games where we were being battered. Lately though, even with a speed & skill upgrade at right back, we look shaky, suspect, and vulnerable.

Sorry but you won't see Guehi again this season. Or olise. Or Doucoure. I consider them our best 3 most indispensable players. Pity eh?

Can you please open a book and start taking bets? Some of these predictions are totally unrealistic, especially with Royball tactics. What makes you think Roy will be in charge?

Looking at our next 7 games and the next 7 games for Forest, Everton and Luton. With Forest currently losing, Everton and Luton already lost, if we could get even a point on Monday it would be an amazing weekend for us. Even if we lose as is likely with the way things are, we have lost no ground to those below us. We then have to play all 3 of those teams in the next 6 games and Luton also -lay Forest too in this run of fixtures. I’m clutching at straws but a bit of hope anyway that it is very much in our own hands still. COYP Very much in our hands, and we have a little big of a gap. I'd extend a further game to say that our next 8 are critical. IMO We need to be at our target points tally by then. and dare I say it, we need a return to Royball of old. Keeping it tight and trying to pinch points where we can (as opposed to being open at the back and having nothing up top). Chelsea - Draw That would be nice, but I suspect not very likely.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

Have I woken from a coma? I thought Everton were fined 10 points and forest not yet determined? Also Everton have their appeal on the 19th. If they win I suspect the authority will drop the second claim and not bother with forest. A great deal may ride on that appeal. If Everton win their appeal and no points are deducted from them or Forest for their 22/23 faults then FFP rules should be torn up. Simple as that.

Source: EPL Injury Table(today:- 10.35) Based on recent history of projected injury times and failed returns, I wouldn't put any dates of return on any injuries. To be safe it is probably best to allow for later rather than sooner.

Luton just lost at home to the worst team in the league. Burnley are still a bit naïve despite playing some good football. Newcastle are awful away from home. Spurs is me playing silly buggers, but who knows. I am possibly (probably) being optimistic, but even with Roy in charge these are not crazy predictions.

Same old, same old Roy.Excuses excuses, excuses!! Me thinks, following last night's defeat, that should we follow up with defeats against both Everton and hapless Burnley, then we are in big trouble and have the Championship in view.

We have averaged a point a game over the 24 PL games. The same average over the remaining 14 games should see us 'Home and hosed'. Edited by Willo (13 Feb 2024 1.45pm)
