Character was always something Dougie was insistent on when he was manager wasn’t it. I think we have a lot of good characters in the squad, this guy could give the place a big lift

He certainly talks the talk - let's see if it converts into performance on the pitch. Trust in Dougie.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

Supporters have been yearning for a more attack-minded right-back and Munoz is of that ilk.

Scenario: Munoz's first training session. Receives the ball, sees the green field ahead of him, and takes off past the halfway line.

Roy: Hold it! Stop the game! Just hold up for a second! Thank you. Now you must be the new fellow, Daniel I think it is?
Munoz: Yes boss, Daniel Munoz, this is my first session with the boys.
Roy: You're new here Daniel, so I'll cut you a little slack. Tell me, what do you think you are doing charging past the halfway line? No full back in my team is allowed to do that!
Munoz: It is the way we South Americans play, we love to get forward and score goals!
Roy: Well not in my team Daniel, is that clear?
Munoz: Yes boss. It's just that when I met Mr Steve and Mr Dougie they said they were very happy to have me join and that they hadn't seen a defender run forward in an age. They said that if it's one thing I must do it is to play my natural South American game and get forward and score goals!
Roy: They did did they?
Munoz: Yes boss, just as I said!

For those wondering whether or not he'll feature tonight, he may not have signed early enough to be allowed to feature. Timne will tell.

No possibility at all.

Anyone else a bit concerned that he's 27? Not that it is old for a footballer, but just because of our tendency to keep right-backs for 17 seasons.

Ward will have his bus pass before he leaves.

I just love the fact that we have really pee'd off UTD. They wanted to px AWB + cash for Olise. Some of their fan sites are a tad upset incl the bbc who have mentioned this, a lot. PMSL.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

Tim vickery the South American football expert says we’ve got a good one. He’s the current Colombian right back, good going forward, good crosser and will weigh in with a goal every now and then. Only down sides are is his defending can be suspect and he’ll pick up a few cards. Well if he was good going forward AND good at defending he wouldn’t have been signing for us and being Colombian you’d expect a few cards

So, just like Patrick van Aanhault then?

Exactly what a mate just said to me……being South American I’d expect Munoz to be a bit more aggressive though, hence the cards
