Well that's the end of meaningful spending/recruitment in the January window..!! TBF - never been sure about Textor - said before reminds me of Allen Stanford..!! But B&H - will not be putting any money in - Parish has none so - "nish" to spend in January..!! All that said there's got to be something wrong - we are in our 11th Premier League season, have a Grade A academy, biggest team in South London, huge catchment area, playing and holding our own in the best League in the World - yet we can't attract positive investment - why..?? My take is that it is Parish - he still wants overall control but does not have the financial resources for that position..!! So consequently wants to use the money of others whilst he insists on having control..!! In fairness to Textor if that's the scenario I understand the frustration..!! Bottom line is that until Parish relinquishes control this will continue - and runs the risk of all the good he has done - being undone and rather than being remembered as the one that saved us, but being the one that ruined us..!! Hope that's not the case - but I am getting concerned about direction at Board level..!! COYP

My take is that it is Parish - he still wants overall control but does not have the financial resources for that position..!!

So consequently wants to use the money of others whilst he insists on having control..!!

In fairness to Textor if that's the scenario I understand the frustration..!!

Bottom line is that until Parish relinquishes control this will continue - and runs the risk of all the good he has done - being undone and rather than being remembered as the one that saved us, but being the one that ruined us..!!

Hope that's not the case - but I am getting concerned about direction at Board level..!!

I don’t think these American owner’s understand the reality. Palace lose money year on year. There is no profit. We aren’t Man Utd or Liverpool etc. Owners with no money to invest or a disinclination to invest are a shackle on a club like us. What engagement have any of these owners had with the fans? They seem to have no interest whatsoever. At least Mike Ashley used to turn up to matches, as did Abramovich, and the Leicester owner before he died. Following Palace since 25 Feb 1978

Parish to me is just admin and looks after our accounts to make sure we do not overspend our way back into administration. Or being deducted points.

The only profit we have made in recent years has been wan bissaka. I can't remember the last time we sold a player for more than we bought.

So yes, I and understand Textor's frustration but I'm also profoundly grateful for it. If the Mirror are correct that Harris is interested in buying Textor out, that could be interesting; both Harris and Blitzer's attempts to move their stake to a more glamorous club have failed; but those implied more resources than they currently have in CPFC. If their plan B is to up the profile of their existing investment, that might sugar the pill of finding the club we love is just counters in a rich men's casino. It wont help the club at all . Soon as the yanks came on board many of us were asking why with a feeling that it will end in tears .

Why has never been answered and now with the various owners at odds it appears the team is going to suffer once more from lack of investment .
Any potential new manager will stay well clear until the ownership is settled so yet again if this drags on till the summer we will be starting next season way behind others in preparation , again .

Palace is a club with massive potential both in fan base and location. As PL teams go we would be a relative bargain to buy and it’s the potential for growth that will interest an investor, not the fact we don’t currently make money.
