His current injury is unrelated to the one Olise sustained playing for France. If its the same leg then I can assure you it is related.

Imagine he starts and scores a perfect hatrick. Roy has a dilemma then. A la Mateta you mean? He was practically out the door when he showed up in that cup game (if you believe wholly unreliable media reports).

Roy will put out most of the standard starting 11. We wont be playing another game until 20th Jan. I would like to see a push for this cup it's a great year to give it a go it's clear to see weaker teams in the league we shouldn't need to worry about that side of things.

I would also think that a win vs PL opposition, following Brentford, would do no harm to morale/belief etc. even with a hiatus until next game.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

May give tomkins a start rest MG have WH CR and JS with EE behind Edouard and Mateta and few youngsters have 10 mins Always goes with the old guard so sadly expect a four display Roy knows we need to concentrate on 17th spot.

Mateta will probably play ahead of Edouard, Schlupp replaces Ayew so with Olise injured, play him.

Well, if this extract from an Athletic article is anything to go by, França may well start tonight or at least get some decent minutes: “He’s very bright,” added Hodgson. “He came in injured with a stress fracture, so he was in the hands of the medical department and sports science people for the first two months of the time he was here, and was released to us in small batches to do small things. It’s maybe the last two months where we’ve had him every day and he’s been fit to play. “That’s two months I have had to work with him, see him and realise what a talented player (sporting director) Doug Freedman has found. “We’re going to see plenty of him. The fans and the club will like him and appreciate his play. Doug told me about this signing and his decision to bring him to the club was made before they asked me to come back — (Freedman) said he’d need a bit of time to adjust, acclimatise and that’s been the case. But he has adjusted and acclimatised.
