According to one report because Hodgson has expressed misgivings. No point signing someone who the manager definitely won't play.

Last day. I suspect the only signing will be Wharton's confirmation.

I believe he previously had misgivings about Benrahma so no chance of that happening. Do the club listen to Roy and not go for players that may secure our future or sign them knowing Roy has only 6 months (max) to go?
Hopefully Roy is putting the club’s future before his stubbornness, but I’m not sure

He's entitled to his view, more than most. How much attention is paid to it, Lord only knows?

However, I think Roy will stay to the end of term, so getting Cornet on a half season loan is pointless. Only buying will make sense. Good value at £5m, but surely West Ham are not that desperate to off-load?

It would mean his useless favourite Schlupp won't get a look in, and he can't have that. Cornet would be an excellent signing, and West Ham fans seem to think he hasn't been a fair chance there.

According to click-bait, Roy doesn't want Cornet . . . [Link]

The bbc reporting Benrahma to Lyon is done with just usual paperwork to finalise. Going to be fun till 11pm.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

It does seem odd that since Roy only has another 16 games to go that his opinion would have that much credence.
This is a bit disappointing - Cornet looked a good, if inconsistent, player at Burnley and might have worked well for us. Especially as he can cover at full back as well.

Agree with that. Cornet shone consistently in a team that was relegated and scored regularly. Injuries and other players being ahead of him in the pecking order. I don't rate Benrahma so much but the BBC sport website now say he is off to Lyon permanently.

Agreed with this but Roy is unlikely to play him in a month of Sundaes

And yet both he and Viera chose to play him over other options.

It was only supposed to be a loan until the end of the season therefore pointless unless Roy wants him

Right. I hadn't picked up on that. The earlier reports indicated we might be buying him.
