And if someone's on the dole and they go on holiday to Thailand and bring back a wife then that's just fine?

If someone’s on the dole they ought not be going on holiday anywhere. They should be concentrating on finding a job.

Should anyone fall in love anywhere they happen to be no one else should attemp to interfere with that.

There's a difference between spending the rest of your life with someone you love and spending it with someone who's been picked out of a catalogue.

Here we go again! No one gets “picked from a catalogue”.

That some use agencies to initiate introductions is no different to those who use them here. That’s the modern world. As is first meeting people over the web. It’s just a fact of life today.

It doesn’t change in any way what the requirements are. A relationship has to exist and be proved to exist before there is any hope of a visa being granted, and then there are many other requirements to fulfill.

You don’t just order online like you can a pair of shoes from China.

That's a bit racist. They order them from Thailand, not China. Or do they all look the same to you?

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Actually you can order your shoes from several places, but China is the most prolific. I don’t think Thailand is a big supplier, but could be wrong.

No, they “don’t all look the same”. The people from Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and The Philippines do because they are all Malay, not Chinese.

It was a joke Wisbech, it was a Christmas joke.

I got a laugh from the reply too though.

You are all assuming it is a White English Male marrying someone foreign. What about the other way round?

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

some are light brown, some dark brown, some black. The white ones were for Paulie Walnuts. Hesh never favoured the white ones.

I realised that. Unfortunately not everyone else here would though.

Ought not has little to do with it. Love does not override citizenship laws in any country, as far as I'm aware. The closest I can think of are crimes of passion in France.
