As it happens, I'm intensely interested in the fortunes - or preferably misfortunes - of Sheffield United and Burnley, and Luton, Bournemouth and Everton, and I imagine I'm far from alone amongst the fans of any team not in the top half of the table. I couldn't care less about Liverpool v Newcastle. Perhaps the football broadcasters assume that their viewers don't support anyone.
