Geordie in peace here,

There are 100+ pubs within walking distance of St James' and all will be welcoming as long as you don't act like ****s.

If you're coming by Train, there's the Comet, the Newcastle Tap, Head of Steam, Mile Castle, The Forth, Town Wall, all within spitting distance of the station.

Then between there and the stadium there's plenty of options, but I'd recommend Tilleys, and Rosies. Obviously there's the Strawberry right outside the ground, but that'll be heaving so if you want to get in, you'd have to get there very early.

If you're coming up by Car, I'd recommend parking at the Metro Centre on the A1 and getting a train/bus/cab over the bridge. Saves you trying to navigate the one way system and find a parking spot. Metro Centre is free parking, CCTV, in a big shopping centre with all that they provide.

Are you A Boy-Fish wonder or THE Boy-Fish wonder?

Good tips by the way, and good luck (after Saturday).

I will be happy with a draw of any kind .
Yes there some great pubs in Newcastle , had some wonderful times there .
The problem is understanding what they say .
Half of Newcastle can't understand what the other half are saying , so what chance do we have ?

If Johstone, Guehi, Andersen, Ward and Doucoure play we wont concede more than one, so 1-1 for me

According to EPL Injuries table, 7 players possibly returning on Saturday with 4 of them regular starters. Doucoure the most likely, but I'd love a fully match-fit Lerma in with him.

Also, an outside chance of a Franca cameo very late on..?

If the player recoveries continue and we don't get any others, we could have the whole team back by Spurs save Henderson, Eze and (*cough*) Ferguson.

The weather is so bad here……and forecast ridiculous rain through til Saturday pm. Must be at least 50:50 chance the game will be called off.

Fixtures like this, got to be honest and say I miss Zaha. Actually will probably always miss him.

Good luck to those going up there, you deserve a result, but sadly I’m going 1-0 to them

Just seen the BBC report on who might win, anyone ever see Chris Sutton predict anything other than a loss for Palace?

I know it's not scientific, but after 3 successive clean sheets this season, and 3 0-0's against Newcastle last season, I can't see any way we will not concede, especially as we will continue to have an injury-ravaged team. I am slightly uneasy that goals against will be like buses, and without Eze, Olise and Franca (pinning a lot on him) I fear 3-0. The return of our flair players (or even our defensive midfielders) can't come soon enough.

Maybe a slender 1-0 to the Magpies. These games are always tight, but if we can take them to 90 minutes at 0-0 I will be delighted.

Watch Eddie Howe he gets really agitated when his teams play Palace.
