Soon to be 12 points after ten matches I suspect- Newcastle away and Spurs at home are unlikely to yield any Palace points, given our injury crisis!

Not only do we need to clear the physio room,we need Franca to be as good as his billing. Finally a few astute signings in the winter window, which means Freedman must not go visiting potential signings in Hospital.

That's optimistic.

I know we need a few but, as many have said over the years, the issue in January is one of supply an demand. A lot of demand; very little supply. And in a seller's market, expect to get skinned.

Which is precisely what Palace do not do, as a matter of apparent principle.

Thus, if we get one player and a loan to the end of the season, that would be good work.

For us.

When you look at the games, we should have beaten Forest but had a very depleted side. We should have got something at Villa but were cheated by a dodgy penalty.
In general, the results have been about par.

We will have a better indicator of our position come January.
We will certainly have a torrid time for the coming weeks with so many star players out.

Newcastle away and Spurs could put a big dent in our goal difference. We just need to try and keep it respectable until our new treatment table coffee morning club loses some of its members.

I feel your fear, but what has avoided any such thing to date is, OK, the quality of opponent, but also the phenomenal work rate and our defence.

Pray the international break doesn't send Guehi and/or Anderson back on a stretcher.

I will be at Newcastle so hope you’re wrong. Hotel and tickets sorted. Big market in the evening. COYP.

Bigg Market spelling.

There are nicer places to drink up there that don't involve you getting filled in for being a "cockney c**t".
