The exact response I expected.

I bet I can guess another one without knowing.

Until we address that reality, this will carry on and only get worse.

similar tastes in music ? probably not Concerto in F minor by Rachmaninoff

Several of those close to or worse than the problem in London.

You're banging your head against the wall Hrolf.

People know it, see it, but can't admit it because it's not woke.

seriously folks, until the Courts go heavy on carrying a knife, and there be a genuine fear of getting caught, this shyte will continue to blight our City.

Drink Driving seems to be far less acceptable among the public these days. Reducing Knife crime ......it must come from the community. Kid A knows that Kid B routinely carries a knife....anonymously text the Rozzers and get him nailed.

Assuming the Rozzers are not all occupied arresting somebody for using the wrong pronoun at a man in a dress.

Yet another young life tragically yet also needlessly taken and a loving family left bereft as a result. Youth knife crime all too often represents the sum of many broken parts that transcend family with tentacles reaching into education and an overcrowded curriculum that requires a complete rehab to reflect needs pertinent to 21st century attitudes and living. Furthermore, a failing judicial system with lightweight sentences partly as a result of crowded prisons. Lack of OSHL affordable provision for the young. Social media negative influences. Etc.

While the big 5 Labour mayor's on a jolly up about trains going up north.
And our ULEZ mayor who seems to think pollution is a big child killer.

All I know is that whatever the demographics of those involved and whatever the terribe story behind it all, a 15 year old girl who was on her way to school was murdered.

Sometimes we are all guilty, and absolutely part of this myself, of taking a terrible event and looking to make political hay from it but until we know a bit more, I genuinely think we need to step back, at least for now.

Had driven past that spot less than an hour earlier. Croydon is a desperate place at the moment and to think of any life being lost in that bleak forsaken spot is tragic beyond words, no matter what.

The EEA announced last November that 238,000 people died prematurely because of air pollution in 2020 in the EU, plus Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland and Turkey.

"Air pollution causes over 1,200 premature deaths per year in people under the age of 18 in Europe and significantly increases the risk of disease later in life," the agency said.

Unless Old Palace has moved I am struggling to understand why she was travelling North on a 60. Must have gone past the school by that point

Does it matter at the moment? I don't mean that in a negative way but surely any speculation at this stage is not really on?

Five teenagers were stabbed to death in Croydon over the course of 2021. However, a year later, police figures showed no teen lives had been lost to knife crime in the borough in 2022.

The last teen murder before today was in July 2021.

Lives not Knives is a Croydon initiative that aims to make people aware of the dangers of knife crime.

It has moved towards supporting young people into education, employment and training via:

mentoring
roadshows
youth hub
youth ambassador
summer programmes
events

Yes it matters. Is this an isolated incident, maybe a boyfriend from the wrong side of the tracks. Or could it be part of a bigger issue. Why did she stay on the bus and why does it appear that a group leapt off the bus with intent.
