These are absolutely the good days. We're an estalished Premier Legue side, with a great academy, plans for a new stadium in motion and we have got here by spending within our means. Most importantly, we have not lost our identity and sold out to Middle Eastern oil money. I'll continue to support the board until the event we get relegated and fail to come back, but even then, I'll always back the club, no matter what. The likes of the forementioned Leicester, Southampton, Charlton, Portsmouth, Sunderland etc who became overambitious and it hurt them immensely.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

What exactly is our identity? A smallish working class south London side, who has mostly had a supporter as the chairman, in a large catchment area, mostly funded on sustainable financial grounds, and a past 11 years punching above their weight, loyalty among fans is a major factor in the clubs DNA

On twitter (X), a few people seem to have started a movement for the board to step down, sell up or whatever you want to call it. I was curious, at what point will enough be enough for you personally? I am nowhere near that stage yet, but some arguments they present have validity. Personally I’ll never get there, I just go to watch the football. I have no idea how to run a football club and haven’t got the money to be involved if I did have. So I’m happy to leave it to others and be thankful we’ve still got our club to support. This lot creating this ‘movement’ haven’t got a clue either and all they’ll do if it gets too serious, which I doubt, is to create a toxic atmosphere at the games, which obviously is not what we want

ME, Nail On Head Agreed I have had this discussion with ME previously and we are very much on same page. I have no proof of this and don’t want to get Dazza treatment but a few seasons ago there were some very interested buyers (Israeli/British) but can’t remember their name. They had started due diligence but nothing came of it. I understand they were very interested in developing the whole ground. No idea what happened.

I'm not calling for the board, far from it, but some help understanding recent decisions would be useful. As you mentioned, Hendo and lack of loans are quite baffling. This. I will always support the club, whichever division and whoever is running it. What does get wearing is SP speaking on the pitch at the end of the season saying we must take ourselves to the next level and can’t stay still. Then we spend very little money in the transfer window and leave ourselves with a paper thin squad

The people on Twitter who are calling to 'sack the board' are, on the whole, the stupidest.

People are panicking because we aren't a top ten side in the Premiership at the moment. Shows just how far expectations have come. Considering Zaha left and that we have Olise and our Brazilian wonderkid unavailable at the moment we aren't doing badly.
