I suspect that he knows he's on a hiding to nothing with this, it's little more than a tactic to reinforce what a disaster the Tory led Brexit has been ( in his opinion ).

I don't think Starmer is either arrogant or deluded. Actually I don't think he's anything really.

Starmer,apparently,wears a Mickey Mouse watch!!

They were right to vote against the British political establishment, always subservient to the United States, unable to exercise judgement and see the consequences of their actions.

Now look what their unqualified support has led to.

I would be very surprised if the public is not horrified at what they are seeing.

2 local MPs here amongst them, I am sure they represent how the voters feel.

Starmer's reasons do not ring true, that it will be a cessation well that's exactly what a ceasefire is supposed to do, that it emboldens Hamas it is already a war how much more emboldened could they be.

He is not credible.

Most resignations are from Muslim mps. Maybe it’s not about the Palestinian people but the religion. Proof positive it’s all about that book I guess. None resigned over Ukraine so that proves that point. Obviously more astute than lefty’s give him credit for. With his abstention from shouting about a ceasefire so allowing Hamas to regroup I think he’s standing on the right side of the fence. If he could now be riske enough to condemn the total crap about not shipping out immigrants then he could gain some credibility.

The bigger question is why, when it flies in the face of electoral logic, does Starmer persist with this stance?

Just maybe he feels that right should prevail over votes. Makes a change in this day and age.

Don't you mean: "Mickey Mouse, apparently, wears a Keir Starmer watch"?

I don't think Starmer is either arrogant or deluded. Actually I don't think he's anything really.

I’ve long had the suspicion Starmer is sincerely regretting starting whatever this run has been and as attractive the proposition of being Prime Minister is, he struggles to care anymore.

I have the impression of him staring vacantly out of a chauffeured vehicle muttering to himself: ‘why did I do this, why did I f**king do this?’ whilst watching the rain come down outside.

I wouldn’t consider him arrogant or deluded, if anything he just looks knackered already.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

the historical links between US foreign policy and the UK , have never looked so redundant.

so many Palestine flags on the streets of the UK and mainland Europe. And so many Israel flags in New York.

I doubt it but it’s good that he’s managing to piss off his own mps and the ones who hate us as well. Win win
