Whilst I rate Ayew very lively i think we all want to see Edouard and Mateta link up again, last time they looked really good as a combo. The trouble is; they need someone to supply them with the ball.

Stevenage are beating Charlton in League One
we need to limp to the 45 minute mark and then to regroup.

Hughes is struggling to get a grip in midfield and Richards is not Guehi. Schlupp and Eze will have to play blinders for us to get something out of this, although all the time it’s 0-0 you never know.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

We’ve scraped through that half and probably had all our luck up until Christmas now. Our entire attack seems to be playing at half pace. Desperately need to wake and turn up second half although I’d happily take a bore draw at 90mins. COYP Edited by Nicholas91 (16 Sep 2023 3.53pm)
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

Hughes has only just returned from an injury as well so he didn't complete pre season either.

I didn't get until mid way but considering the players out and sudden illness to Roy I reckon we have matched the villa 1st half. Granted their managers knows how to work his side so if we get a point out of this we will have done a great job imo.
