The trouble is when you don't get any updates speculation tends to run rife. In cases like this people start to think, no news is bad news.

But, I do appreciate that a person's health is a private matter and should only be made public when the individual concerned gives their consent.

Slightly concerning that there's no further updates. Would hope for something in the next day or two just to clarify whether he's ok and returning to work or if it is more serious.

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold...

I disagree. When you work for a club like Palace, in whatever capacity, the club should inform the supporters of the problem. Maybe not exact detail but at least the basics. Palace forever put out how we are a family club which I completely agree with. So who wouldn’t share info with ‘the family’.
After all if nothing is said and Roy is not present at th next game….then what.?

Roy has always maintained that he has never retired and that he wanted to continue managing while he retained 'his enthusiasm and his health'
Clearly last weekend will provide pause for thought, and he will no doubt take into account his long term health and family in his deliberations.
If there’s any suggestion of a recurrence perhaps it's not a risk worth taking at his age.
I hope it's a one off, that he's given the all clear and that he enjoys the good health to enable him to continue if this is what he wants to do.

Maybe not too factual Beak, but best i could find . . . [Link]

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

How so? A patient's medical records are confidential.

Your doctor cannot give you details of your own family’s health issue, without their consent. People’s health is a private issue and should be respected as such.
To claim we have a right to know every detail is just result of the social media society we have become.

I agree they like to push that only when it suites.

The same with Mr Parish will turn up to these media outlets yet disappears when it comes to transfer time.

Good news that Roy is back.
Regarding the disappearance of Mr Parish at transfer window time that is quite possibly a very good plan when the top 6 are trying to sign your best players.
