Gillian Keegan caught saying ‘everyone else has sat on arse’ over concrete crisis.

The Colosseum in Rome, built 2000 years ago with Roman concrete, still stands.

To take advantage of such standards, we will obviously have to rejoin the EU.

Or crumble to dust with the conservative party.

I blame the Tories it's not like Scotland or Wales have this problem.

She's right.....but Labour are avoiding responsibility for the same arse sitting.

I was disappointed to see the headline which alluded to Keegan swearing and reading that she'd used the word 'ar*e'.

Genuinely hoped she'd referred to a group of peoples as a 'bunch of c*nts'. That would have made our politicians far more relatable for me. Alas.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

This entire 'concrete crisis' narrative needs to be admired. This is pure politicking of the highest standards. The massive story that should be dominating the headlines is about how the UK's economic recovery post-Covid has been seemingly downplayed, for all kinds of purposes. Undermining confidence in investors and impacting on the value of sterling. A genuine scandal that seems to be just brushed off as 'one of those things'.

Instead, we have this emotive BS.

And the Tories just being the gormless Tories. Like they don't mind in the slightest.

A staggering period in the UK's history when the machinations of the Deep State, and the collaboration of both our main political parties, has never been clearer.

I actually rather admire the entire charade in a kind of despairing fashion.

So all of a sudden all the schools found this problem at once. Most schools have some sort of building/ decorating/ waste of money vanity s*** going on every summer holiday. Are we to believe this is the first time any of them knew about this issue. If the work is big enough it needs consultants and architects etc. not buying this as anything but a banked article to deflect from something. Whether it’s the financial news being not so bad or something else. ULEZ who knows but something stinks.

Train staff go on strike so people can't travel.

Thousands of illegal immigrants (blokes mainly) are entering the country and being put up in posh hotels while our indigenous, poorer population live in mouldy accommodation.

etcetera, etcetera, etcetera, etbloomingcetera.

It all feels like our once beloved Country has gone to the dogs.

What the heck are the other lot going to do to fix it all? They seem able to criticise, but unable to suggest a plan to fix our broken Country. All very sad.

As sure as eggs are eggs, once Labour get in the strikes will mysteriously stop and the Civil Service will suddenly find a way to do their jobs properly.
The public sector employs nearly 6m people and another 5m people rely on the sector for their income.
This country is now ruled by them and not the other way around.
The tail is most definitely wagging the dog and regardless of ones politics, that is never a good thing! !

As I posted earlier - this has been a bomb waiting to explode and suddenly it has - the year before an election - quelle surprise!
Successive governments of both parties have kicked the can down the road and here we are.
I suspect that the problem is nowhere near as bad as the media states but nonetheless it most certainly will be when modern day standards and regulations are applied to buildings nearly 60 years old (in some cases).
The cost over the coming 5 years will be huge and needlessly so.
It could have been dealt with far more cheaply starting in '96/'97 and running on from there.
Labour have no right to moan - since the first report it is 13 years each to Labour and Tory and none of them have done well.
As for the Civil Servant claiming budget cuts by Rishi - go back to bed you politicised arse - that is where you have spent every working day since covid anyway!
I detest the politicised Civil Service!

It needs completely dismantling then rebuilding from the ground up. Ditto with the Judiciary, the NHS and so on.

My secondary school was demolished about 50 years ago to make way for a housing estate.

The authorities obviously decided that this esteemed place POF learning for the likes of Jeff Beck, Roy Budd, Edward Woodward and Sir Eddie George was not worthy of an upgrade. It was tatty even in the early 60s.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

Dismiss all the tory excuses, privatisation has been a monumental failure, the first thing I see is that the BRE was privatised by Major.

Further evidence of crumbling tory Britain today Germany refusing to comply with an international warrant because of the state of our prisons and water companies openly pouring sewage even in dry weather, they have the government in their pocket delaying inspections for years.

The model of enabling people to become rich as it trickles down creating prosperity is not proven, it has not worked, it is greed and incompetence that has.

It was a tory, MacMillan who said that Thatcher was selling of the family silver and that broken policy has over the years, brought us to this state.

This concrete was a quick and easy cheap way to build back then.
However, like a lot of building back then no one thought of the long term future and so they built piles of s***e.
It was understandable I guess but it just piled up problems for the future.
If only Governments would plan for the long term and say that they are doing it so that future governments would have to continue along the same road we might not be in this mess.
This is just one small example of messes that politics creates, especially when the people in charge do not have a clue what they are doing - I include large swathes of the public sector in that statement as well - not just Ministers and their overpaid, idiotic advisors!
