Very different player to Antonio who is a constant nuisance with his strength and speed. I don't think he'd do much better at Spam, but who knows. He needs to be in a team where he'll get lots of chances in the 18-yard box. He's a good finisher but he offers very little outside the 18 yard box. He'd probably thrive in a top team in Turkey or something. As it is though I can't see him leaving. More likely Roy will lean on the board to move JPM on and bring someone else in.

I love it. Wonderfully vague, with an appropriate hint of contempt.

The Turkey sandwich:

He could be a great player - in Turkey - he'd probably score lots of goals.

I think this Turkey thing started with Sorloth.

Let's be honest, he's in the form of his life for us this season.
No wonder he looks so disgusted every time he is subbed off around 70-75 mins.
In twelve league appearances he has (for him) an astonishing four goals this season.
That is 1 in 3, people.
This truly is a goalden era for Odsonne Edouard.

I stand corrected.
His record is even greater.
Today's goal at West Ham took him to a mighty six league goals this season.
If he scores against Bournemouth in the week it will be 7 goals in 14 games.
A one-in-two striker! Really?
Like I say the lad is in the form of his life even though most fans on here think he is crap.

You can definitely see the panic in Erling Haalands face, he’s seriously worried about the golden boot

He should dedicate every one of his goals to his team mates.

One of the laziest players I've ever seen.

Surprised you can see him Rachid. Spends most of his time hiding behind the central defenders.
He's going to score today - isn't he!

I think his first two seasons have not been good in the EPL.

2021/22: played 28 EPL games (6 G, 3 A) equates to roughly a goal or assist every 3 games given it was his first season I guess people could have patience

2022/23: played 35 EPL games (5 G, 2 A) equates to a goal or assist every 5 games

2023/24: this season he has not been too bad 5 goals in 12 EPL games (which is closer to 1 goal every 2 games which any club would love to have)

The question is can Edouard be a player that scores around 13+ EPL goals a season consistently? I think this season he can easily score that it is just taking the chances.

One player I remember people taking about was Gyokeres. He would have been a good signing.

I hope Edouard turns a corner this season and gets 13 or more EPL goals.

Yes, Edouard is a bit rubbish, the jury is out, and it's easy to scapegoat him. But consider this: he's currently our top scorer this season. A season thus far that has seen him score 5 of our fine total of 13 goals in 13 games.
13 scintillating times we have hit the back of the opposition's net, that's two more than Sheffield United, the same as Luton, and two less than Burnley and Everton. So what does this say about us?
Clearly it's nothing to do with our dismal recruitment, or the fact that our full backs never get forward in support, or our midfield never cross the half way line, or, perhaps more to the point, we have manager so wrapped up in his catenaccio past any thought of attacking play is completely anathema to him.
You get what you pay for.

That is a worry when you see we’re on a par with the relegation fodder, especially now that we’ve just let in five goals in two games against two of them, we can’t exactly say at least we’re tight at the back at the moment either
