Very, very odd.
Does anyone know if the Olise transfer got as far as having a medical at Stamford Bridge???

No. According to reports, they wer'nt even given permission to talk to him.

If click bait is to be believed once Parish threatened them with legal action Chelsea backed off because they didn't think it worth the bother.

That kinda sends a message to the player we want you but can't be bothered to fight for you. If it was Mbappe they probably would have fought tooth and nail.

I saw a post from John Salako referring to Olise saying it had brightened his day - my first thought was "why would John be celebrating a move to Chelsea?" Had to read it through a few times to check - incredible news!

Fantastic news. Has it got a release clause?

We're not likely to know but I would be very surprised if there WASN'T one. As I've said before, Olise is one very shrewd cookie.

You really have to love click-bait especially on this about his deal . . . [Link]

Let's hope no one ever finds out what it is - the problem wasn't so much that there was a release clause but more that everyone thought they knew exactly what it was allowing Chelsea to fix their low offer to trigger it. Darren Ambrose's statement that there was no such clause may well have simply been an attempt to stop such offers by muddying the waters a little.

Completely support all the positive things said here. I glad MO, and also his advisers, have come to their senses and know that at Chelsea he would be a bench-warmer which would completely stifle his development.

The best thing for him, short and long term, is regular football. He has seen what a legend Wilf has become at CPFC, and there is no reason why MO cannot become a similar figure at our club over the next few years. Great news, and hope this shows Liverpool, Spurs and all the other clubs trying to poach our players that you cannot just bully your way around.

Well done MO!

Ive just copied this off of the bbc sports rolling news . . .

Olise signing a new 4 year deal doesn’t make a scrap of difference. Hall just signed a new long term deal with Chelsea yet he’s off to Newcastle for £30million … it just means Palace can now command more than the £35million release clause previously in place. Olise is a Chelsea boy and so’s his brother.

Nick

Now, there is someone on here who posts on said site, is it you having a wind-up(great if it is)?
