I saw several Chelsea fans saying he was one of their best players in the last 10 games of the season and were disappointed that he'd been pushed out. I've not seen that much of him, but his passing stats are good and he does look composed on the ball.

Presumably he's being moved on as a home grown player like Gallagher to help their balance sheet.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

That doesn't surprise me. Let's face it, the fringe players at the Big 6 clubs don't want to come to us. If they've got to leave it will be to bigger clubs than us if they can get it. In any event there's usually a premium for buying a player from another PL club and we've been stung by that in the past.

Far better IMO to bring in overseas players or players from the Championship (although the latter are getting quite pricey these days as well).
