Parish all day. Yes, I would love a billionaire to take the club forward. However, I am also aware with the likes of Leicester, Leeds, Stoke etc….that endless amounts of wealth does not guarantee success. You also need to have a strategy.

Interesting article on Textor

A share subscription will also dilute Parish's holding too

PS.
In any event, Textor seems to have accepted he's not going to get a majority holding in Palace and may well decide he doesn't want to sink any more into this particular venture. The Athletic interview seemed to point towards him selling out if he can get a good price and look for another English team so as to buy a majority stake. He stated that owning an English Prem team is key to his plans - he may go for a Championship team with prospects (my guess as he's not rich enough to buy most - if not all - of the remaining PL clubs).

Millwall is ideal for him, Chairman passed away, he is the perfect man to take them into administration

So every poster bar one has said Parish, but probably a majority feel dissatisfied with Parish's "ambition" (for which they really just mean spending).

In reality though, it is precisely for his work as a careful custodian that I suspect people appreciate Parish's contribution. A bit boring? Yes. A bit pragmatic? Sure. But he's trod a fine line between the Wall Street sharks and the oil funds really well so far.

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.

I imagine Textor is just pissed off that he is the largest shareholder but regularly gets outvoted by two much richer guys who won't put their hands in their pockets to help Palace out

Unfortunately it's probably Matheus Franca he's being outvoted on

From my point of view - most telling point in the article/interview was the suggestion that extra investment was coming in that would dilute his interest..!!

Now whether that’s existing shareholders- which would only be B & H - Parish doesn’t have Premier League money - or additional shareholders we’ll have to wait and see..!!

But clearly something is afoot which has ruffled Textor..!!

On the original question - Parish has the best interests of the club at heart - [removed to avoid libel]

We will see..!!!

Have never been a fan of non fan investment in football clubs in general and certainly not ours . Its short termism that sees profit leaving the club instead of being reinvested . I dont actually see what the septics have given us apart from false promise of ground development
Surely we generate enough money to tick over as we have been as a bottom half club . If we dont then maybe we dont deserve to be there

Terrific interview from Steve Parish. I would have loved to have worked for him.

I was critical of Parish at the start of his ownership when he was still in the learning curve, but he has delivered a decade of Premier League status for this club and for me, he is the best chairman this club has ever had.

He does not like to fail and has a thick skin. Very good qualities for his job.

I hope we see the fruits of his labours in the coming seasons with the ground development and an even stronger squad.

15 rounds of boxing, it's the only way to be sure.

Do they still do 15 rounds? I thought it was only 12 these days but as I don't follow boxing I may be totally wrong.
