Who knows the precise details of Olise's contract? Most likely the player, his agent, legal representative. Parish and other board members, DOF Freedman, legal representative. I was just thinking that release clauses would be pointless unless the buying team knows. I guess you can't really keep a release clause secret that easily. I have no idea how details of release clauses are given but, as I say, logically they must be known about. Unless teams just guess which seems silly.

Perhaps someone from CPFC could share this information with us fans! So if he's going regardless, why agonise over whether there's a clause or not? All 'we' have to do is continue to give our undying devotion to the club and pay for our tickets and merchandise.

If Chelsea want Olise so bad we should insist on a Gallagher swap. There’s no point having lots of cash and no one good to spend it on. Look at West Ham with all their Rice money.

If this click-bait is anything to go by, his reported clause won't matter . . . [Link]

If he has a 35m release clause, then why don't chelsea or anyone else who wants him take the option?, Isn't that what a release clause is for. 35m is a bargine for Olise. If there was a clause, he would be wearing a blue shirt already, if the player really wanted to go. The reports are saying that Chelsea have spoken to him etc and he is interested. My question is, how does another manager get to tap up a player without his clubs permission. As for a swap for Gallagher. Olise will be a much more important player. Imho, he and Eze are our most valuable players.

Imho, he and Eze are our most valuable players. If there is indeed a release clause of £35 million then Chelsea would have to front up £35 million. Reports suggest they’ve offered £39 million in instalments. I guess we’ll never know unless he goes in the window. Personally I hope he signs a new contract. I’d much rather have Olise playing those balls in to our strikers ( assuming we ever sign a striker) than Gallagher charging about like a headless chicken!

In one way or another both Olise and Eze will be gone by summer 2024. Neither will sign a new contract and so we may as well get the most out of them this season and the most money for them at the end of it.

What’s the obsession with Gallagher- we don’t need a central midfield player - swap deal for Odioii and Brroja - then maybe worth thinking about..!, Personally I don’t see Olise leaving - but that’s my opinion. Think what.we may see this week is Franca coming in - just too much noise about this move for it not to happen - and he looks exciting/decent..!! Then just a striker and a right back and we’ll be done..!! COYP
