Summerville starts for Leeds against Cardiff, Gnonto as well.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

Seen him a few times ,Leeds didn’t over expose him, and used as an impact a lot.
He is Young, clever ,direct, maybe a little on the light side, first thought he is our type of player. He gets in good positions and knows how to finish, which for us could be the biggest bonus if we signed him . And young enough to still improve.

We haven't had many of that type of player over the years!

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

We have had one or two, but generally you’re right. That’s why if you use the full stop and keep in context, it would be a bonus to go with the impression he gives of suiting our style.

I wasn’t impressed with either of them in todays game tbh.

So did Edouard yesterday. I'd still prefer he wasn't a Palace player. Summerville didn't look impressive to me.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

I didn't think either were that bad or that good but Summerville kept running and kept his head for the goal. Considering age he would be a decent signing but scoring consistently will put him out of our price range. Cardiff a decent side so not an easy game.
I would question his all round game but we have to remember players like Wilf didn't have everything immediately.

As POG posted, fair points, my worry is, that IF we did aquire him, would Roy play him?

I think he'd be pretty much forced to - Ayew can't play every game. We're going to need rests and get injuries soon enough. We don't have cover really - until Olise comes back. Edouard out wide, Ayew every game, Schlupp, Ahamada or Summerville. I'd at least think Summerville would play quite a few games - if not start every game immediately.
Any wide player we do get, if we get any, are almost bound to play pretty quickly.

Leeds got a real prospect there for £1.5 mill . 21 years old . A full fully involved 90 minutes topped off with a well struck goal today, a good start to another season another league. Obviously good enough for his manager, as he kept faith with him for the whole game. We are talking potential type money with him , not mega money. But then that’s where we are at. Any way it’s only opinions, and it will be interesting to see how his career goes where ever it’s played out.

I just watched the game and thought Summerville and Gnonto were their outstanding players. The former takes all their dead balls and Leeds scored from one of his corners, He is also not afraid to take a shot and scored a pretty good one in the last minute. However, he plays in Eze's position and might not get much game time unless Palace think Ebs is going to up sticks and leave

Gnonto is a ball of energy with good dribbling skills but also the awareness to lay a short pass off to a better placed colleague. He nearly scored after a Zaha-like run and had a volley go just wide. He played as a floater across the front line. He is pretty strong but very short

Of course, they were only playing Cardiff but looked a class better than James and Sinisterra who cost almost 50 million between them. When we played there last year, Gnonto was a sub and Summerville on the bench

I'd take either of them if the fee was right and think Gnonto could be a starter with our current available squad given his ability to play multiple positions. Either would excite me more than Adams
