Actually makes me quite sad, I’m watching it now, the band sounds great, but she’s painful, still one of my all time favourite bands and had her on my bedroom wall, but bless her, it’s not good now

Thought Crissie Hynde was excellent, still got her voice, and not bad for 71
“That’s a joke son, I say, that’s a joke.” “Nice boy, but he’s sharp as a throw pillow.” “He’s so dumb he thinks a Mexican border pays rent” “ “Son… I say, son, some people are so narrow minded they can look through a keyhole with both eyes.”__ Forhorn Leghorn |

At last, someone worth seeing. The Cat is back. Only lapsed once by sending a greeting to Mecca. We don't need that religious stuff. One of my favourite songsters and still sounding pretty good at 75. Truly the hippy god. Edited by Hrolf The Ganger (25 Jun 2023 8.28pm)

Good review, my favorite gig was AC/DC Hammersmith Odeon, Nov 79, 3 months before he died, and i saw Brian Johnsons Back in Black tour in 80, i think, at Apollo Victoria, i saw Roger Waters show about 3 months ago in Bologna, and it was great. I saw them at the Hammersmith, but had such a bad headache from drinking that I slept for most of it. That was quite an achievement. Those were the days. I drink about 2 beers a year now.

His material was very patchy, and I thought he was a bit of a t*** to be honest. He did however create a sound that was part of how people imagine the '60s was. 'Sunshine Superman' for example. My personal favorite was 'Hurdy Gurdy Man'. Stevens was doing pop then. His great period was a couple of years later in the early'70s.

I had a friend who slept through the Clash at Lewisham Odeon (many pre-gig pints of ESB at the Roebuck) but AC/DC really takes some doing.

As a regular back in the day at the Monsters of Rock festival at Donnington Castle Ive seen most of the Rock bands worth seeing live and quite a few who were not . Glasto isnt and is why the pop bands sound OK and the likes of GnR sound awful which sadly they did on Saturday night . I know they are getting on a bit but that should only effect the vocals which we would excuse if everything else was in sinc . Basically if they are going to invite rock bands they need to upgrade the wiring .
