Got to be a Troll

We may well go down eventually, but for staying up for 10 years living within our means, those with half a brain will still be praising and thanking Parish for his efforts. We haven’t got billionaire money no object owners and our ground only holds 26,000, so just maybe our ‘structure’ is doing okay.

Actually we have monkey. Yet for some reason they don’t want to spend it on Palace.

This thread is disgusting and I'm reluctant to add a comment but so incensed that I feel compelled to add my twopenneth.

Mr Parish personally saved our club from administration, he has overseen our residency in the Premier League for 11 years, his leadership has helped develop an academy that is the envy of many and, as a boyhood fan of our club, his dedication to improvement is not in question.

He also frequently makes valuable contributions to the development of the game through written articles and representation on various committees. We all know that we do not have a bottomless pit of money to throw at new players so shrewd management is key.

I, for one, give him my wholehearted support and certainly want him to continue his enthusiastic leadership of CPFC.

It is incredulous to me that anyone who calls themself a Crystal Palace supporter can even think that our Chairman should stand down.

Keep up the good work Mr Parish and ignore the loonies.

Actually hate Southampton but thanks . Been palace all my life and it’s absolute idiots like you why we will never progress as a club. The old he saved our club. So fu***ng what it wasn’t just him. Doesn’t give him and the other clowns the excuse to not invest and try to improve other than a main stand that will be pointless in the championship. There absolute no ambition.

Would that be our own 'younger players (from the academy) being introduced ?? I think not.

I wrote a piece on another thread the other day and got shot down in flames but it is correct to say that,
Hodgson if he is staying, does not introduce young players.
Parish does take a salary from the club and is one of the highest CEOs in the Premiership for what .......
We have now been in the Premiership for 11 years and if we have committed most of that to the salary bill, who is that down to ??
The re-signing 3 of the ooc players (all 30 plus, 1 of them playing in the Championship 10+ years ago) does not again, show a great deal of ambition.
It is a shame how many cannot see it.

Parish is on record as saying the academy is vital to the future interests of the club, from what he said it seems to me that it is a cornerstone of his vision for the club. The other of course is the stadium re-build. Given that the academy is relatively new one cannot realistically expect it to yield fruit so early, but in the meantime we have scouted some very promising younger players to augment the older pros at the club.
Progress is slow but steady, eleven seasons in the PL is no mean feat. It's worth reflecting on where we were to where we are now.

Great thread. A few people who would struggle to run a bath all telling a chairman and a man who made his money building a business how to run one.
Wonder what some of the posters here do for a living to give them such an insight?

Let us know and I’m sure some of us can tell you how to do it better.

As for the abuse - grow up. If you cannot articulate why you would like a change and how that would look/work without only being abusive then why would anyone listen?
Appreciate it’s all about opinions but try to give a clue about how SP can improve if you want him out so badly and how you would do better. (Especially when you consider he’s the only Chairman in our history to keep us in the top division for a sustained period).

Will soon come unstuck. His been very lucky only so long you can get away with being this complacent not investing in the playing squad and a decent manager. Instead putting all his money into a stand that won’t matter in the championship

I see the village is missing it’s local idiot.

Well the academy must be 'a cornerstone to the future' because it's not much of an asset currently.
All of one player sold on from there in the last 11 years and loads of players queuing up currently to be added to the first team picture, not.
In the meantime, we re-sign 3 defenders all the wrong side of 30 on new 1 year contracts and apparently and farcically (according to the main club website) offer the ever-fit Ferguson a new deal !!
But hey, it appears that according to a lot of the fanbase, Mr Parish is above criticism, 2010 etc, but that was a fair time ago. Is he really continuing to progress us as a club ??

I am only going by what Parish himself has said, what else is there to go on? It seems a reasonable plan, the proof as always, is in the pudding.
The one year contract extension makes sense to me, players who know the club and are able to fill in where necessary. The Ferguson thing is a mystery though, what's that all about? And Jairo?
It could be argued that we kick the can further down the road each season, but I think it's worth mentioning again the slow but steady evolution from where we were in 2010 to now.

He has a contract till 2024 so why would he volunteer to go somewhere else until next summer?

My understanding is that the Americans will invest in proportion to their shareholding and Parish is the one causing the blockage as he doesn't have the funds to invest his share.

Might just be cobblers mind you
