I would try it at £80k/wk to kick off.
I would keep Wardy one more year then let the rest on your list go

Add to that, prolong the contracts of Eze and Olise and Guehi. And if they are ever allowed to leave, make the buyers pay what they are worth to us.

Academic. Neither he nor maddison will come to us.

If Leicester are relegated, they'll have to sell Madison. It would convince me that we had more money than sense if Palacee put a bid in for him

It was tough to see Wilf on the ground just in front feeling his hamstring. Realised it was season over, but when somebody said we may never see him in a Palace shirt again that seemed very sad. On balance he has given far more joy than angst. A shame his effort just before half time was off target, it would have been a fitting goal to depart on.
Offering 4years x £200k a week, if indeed that is the case, is total madness. Balancing what he has given, what he is worth and what we can afford, I think 2years at around £100k would be right. If there are some imaginative add ons then fair enough. This probably wont be enough and it will seem the end of an era when he goes. Thanks for the good times.

Of the 3 Eze has 2 years left, so he would be my focus.
Guehi and Olise have 3 left so no need to worry - yet.

Regarding Wilf, i think he wants to go. However, if i was the club i'd offer him a 1 year contract with a 2nd year that is triggered if he plays say 30 league games.

In terms of the package i would make it very 'add on' heavy.

So to get say £150k a week i'd offer £75k a week basic plus a starting league bonus of say £75k a game and £100k a goal and maybe a win bonus.

if he plays 30 games and scores 10 goals that's a total payment of over £7m for the year.

If that is not enough for him, it's a thank you and goodbye from me.

That's a recipe for disaster as he would never pass the ball to a team mate and risk losing £100,000 and he would prefer to try for goal himself even if someone else is better placed.

Anyway why would he accept such a package when other teams are likely to offer more with the prospect of European football thrown in

Maybe a wishful thinking but i think if Zaha leaves, that seems to be lose-lose situation.

For Zaha, i do not predict he will get any offer more than his current salary from a European spot team and even if that happens, he may be mostly sidelined.

For Palace, Zaha is still a power and game changer. We may smell relegation battle again and he will be important asset and also can move us to higher spot if 6-week mindset continues.

I would keep him for the same salary for 2+1 kind of contract and add-on such as FA Cup final, top-10 type of stuff. If he won’t be happy with this or he really has a good option outside, nothing to do. Long term 200k/week is high odd bet.

Time to wave goodbye.

Hasn't been very good for a while now.
Massive wages.
Makes it all about himself.
Injury prone.
Unfortunately no other top 6 club will play him regularly.

Could be a limp end to a decent career for our Wilf. Probably somewhere like Monaco is his best bet.

Pretty much spot on but definitely try the 80k first.
Time to clear some past favorites and build up the future ones.

Thanks Wilf ...

Wilf isn't going to accept less that his current deal. He needs a rest to fully recover as I think he's tried to come back too soon a couple of times this season. Personally I think he'll end up at Arsenal. They're (apparently) going to be paying Saka 300k per week for his new deal and need a stronger squad for the CL, so a two-year deal of 150k per week would likely be no problem for them. They get a proven PL player who is a fan of the club and who has a strong will to win and high work ethic, no fee and I would imagine straightforward negotiations. He's better than Nelson and can play across the front line. With Arsenal likely to play 50+ games across all the competitions he may not start regularly but he'd probably still play 20+ games and I think he would be a very tidy player for them as he is still strong and powerful.

I really can't see him staying and the only thing I hope is that he says his goodbyes when we play Forest and we are clear that we are now moving on for better or worse. He is the most important player we've had in the past 30 years and whatever people's views are of him now he has had a massive hand in our longest run in the top flight (and getting here in the first place of course!)

We don't seem to have been seeing queues round the block for him so far, even at the peak of his prowess, and with these injuries seeming to show that his career is beginning to take it's toll on his body, I doubt there will be.

Have you seen how contracts work? This is an extreme example but many players have goals scored bonuses. Vinny Jones had £5k 25 years ago so god knows that the amounts are now. Again 25 odd years ago McGoldrick earned an extra £100k for scoring 10 goals one season with us.
There will be players in the Prem today on massive goal bonuses - if you think not you are very naive
