Their rise and fall just shows what can happen at a poorly run club and then obviously a well run club, regardless of who was in charge of the team, they’ve obviously been getting good players in on a tight budget Of their current players I have been particularly impressed with Tom Lockyer whom Nathan Jones signed from Charlton. He is aggressive in both penalty areas and scored last night. I was in discussion about Lockyer at the weekend and was informed that he hails from Radyr in Cardiff and used to be a season-ticket holder when Cardiff were playing at Ninian Park.

I recall going to Luton in the season we were promoted under Alan Smith.Chris Coleman scored the goal in the opening minute. Only time I went there to watch Palace was in the early 80’s, all I can remember about the game was we lost 1-0, Kevin Mabbutt was playing for us and it was on their horrible plastic pitch.

Luton have ploughed their furrow in the top division (Old Division One) but never in the PL. Luton manager Rob Edwards was on loan to us from A.Villa in season 2003-04. Edited by Willo (17 May 2023 4.09pm)

been to oldham with mrs KD I went in the mid 90’s, I think Paul Williams scored the only goal of the game Hard to believe now, but we were close to playing them in the cup final, could’ve changed the course of history for 3 clubs, us, United and Oldham if they’d beaten United in their replay
