Making a general observation, the boundaries of what is considered 'Racist' are elasticated, being stretched on a regular basis.I suspect we will reach the stage whereby stating that one is not partial to 'Irish stew' will enter the 'Racist' category.

I am sure outside of HOL, over some liquid refreshments I could elaborate and expand on my views !
For avoidance of doubt, I have been accused, on more than one occasion, of being a "Fusty old fuddy-duddy", living in the dark ages with an outmoded view of life.Several other accusations have also been hurled in my direction !

I therefore look forward to a police officer apprehending such an offender with the words, "IRISH STEW in the name of the law".

Presumably not. How close is a paramedic to the average seat in a massive football stadium, in your football-attending experience? If you got grit in your eyes, would you try to remove it yourself or would you seek out a paramedic to provide you with an eyewash?

Have you ever been to a criminal court, where a defendant - or more likely their brief, with the defendant remaining silent - will spin every cock-and-bull yarn to sow doubt in the minds of the jury members?

Kind of how it works

My uncle voted Labour up till the last election all while complaining about immigration, censorship and anything even remotely PC for decades....he just hated and still hates the Tories.

Tribe is strong.

I haven't been to Spurs for a long time, but do the stewards there look badly at the Spurs fans when they carry out their anti-Semitic chanting? Or has that chanting now stopped?

Not giving an opinon whether it should or should not be allowed, but I know a lot of Spurs fans who say it is nothing to do with anti-semitism but rather reclaiming a word in the same way South Central LA rappers use the 'n' word.

Back to on-topic I agree with those who say what a wonderful player Son is. Out of all the superstars in the EPL during the last five or so years I would pick him for our team above any other.

Don't the stupid Spurs fans realise that their club is owned by Jews?

My response has always been that I abhor some of this 'Modern' thinking and ideology and that at my age, thankfully, I will not have to endure this hogwash for too many years !

The problem is this is the establishment now and clearly what the elites want.

Other than bowing to their donors I'll never quite understand why the Tories were so meek to all of this and turned against their own principles so quickly. They have been appointing non Conservatives to major roles for decades and fund NGOs and organisations that oppose their actual policies.....I'll never forgive Amber Rudd for appointing Dick of the Met.

Cameron set the filter system to stop any actual Conservatives (unless they were ethnic) from MP selection......Cameron and May certainly have a lot to answer for on all this.

It does highlight that in every fan base there are racist individuals. I am surprised by some of the posts even on here in the News/Politics section where I seen people say absurd stuff like Tommy Robinson is not a bad guy and how he is actually a good guy. This is from a guy who regularly breaks the law/jailed and says other groups must respect the laws of the UK.

Let's hope you're around for many more years to come Willo even if, like us, you have to endure the embarrassment of watching these current Conservatives comically representing the right.

I agree on this point I know the leader of a council whose next step was MP however he was told because he was white male and middle class to forget it. This was under Cameron.

My mate wasn't saying he should be a shoe in but being the CEO of a large well run council which he got plaudits from other Tories for you would think that at least qualified him for the short list.

But at the time it was more important to tick the boxes for race / gender / orientation etc rather than ability.

I always find it weird these days how when something like this happens some people's first thought is not to condemn the actions but to use it as a platform to complain about how the world has gone soft. This guy is an idiot. Maybe he's not a racist but just thick or drunk (or both) but he's a middle-aged man, not a kid. Actions have consequences.
