It's a strange one this. He didn't win the Libertadores last year - his club did. He played 10 minutes of a group game and 18 minutes of a 2nd leg knockout which they won 7-1. He got a run of league games at the backend of last season for them, but in their 2023 season he's played the total equivalent of 4 games when they're 14 games into their season. Seems to have had an injury which has hampered some game time. Could be a prospect but he doesn't look like someone who currently walks into a PL starting XI. He'd probably be a bench/impact player for us, at least for the first few months, much like Olise was. If we were to sign him I think we'd need to be patient with him.

"Chelsea have completed the signing of Angelo Gabriel from Santos. The Athletic reported last month that the Brazilian club had accepted an offer worth 15million Euros (£12.95m; $16.38m) for the 18-year-old winger, who has made 129 appearances and scored five goals for Santos since breaking into the first team in 2020." This may take Chelsea out of the running or make Hudson-Odoi even more redundant though I suppose they may just loan him out I have no idea how he compares to Franca but he is younger, has played more and is cheaper than what we are offering for our target

Bargaining is fine but they’d have to be stupid to accept the offer! I guess Europa League qualification is possible but Champions League and 400 games!
