Interesting replies and food for thought, i think Forest Hillbilly's views are similar to my own, i like to think of myself as a member of the human race, but i have just seen Roger Waters in Concert. funny enough my views as well and due to see a certain Mr Waters in the O2 next month.
Sometimes I set out for Ludlow |

Charles is flanked by secret service, they do their due diligence on all of Charles acquaintances, he would have been briefed on what a monster Saville was so he either knew & couldn't care less or indulged in the same s*** as Saville. I digress I just hope this chapter in British history is short lived. What about another Freemason who was awarded the MBE, also a friend of the aforementioned, Cyril Smith, Did the secret service brief the royal family then, maybe they mentioned it down the lodge.

I will doubtless watch some of the ceremony on Saturday if for no other reason than this is something we do very well and it is part of our heritage. I am a monarchist in the sense that we have stumbled over a form of government which protects us from extremism. I cannot though warm to either Charles or Camilla. Them being King and Queen just doesn't feel right and the elevation of Camilla is a bad misjudgement. Don't get me wrong. If she was always his choice then they deserve to be together and happy, but it's too soon for another Queen. When William succeeds is the right time. At least we agree on something.

Similar to Religious alignment, political alignment, Patriotism seeks to exert control over 'the masses'. Look at Argentina when they invaded the Falklands. An Argentinian leader looking to evoke a patriotic/political response by the invasion. So much so, Ossie and Rickie felt they couldn't continue playing football for Tottingham. I am actually a republican my friend is what I would call hard left but neither of us have a problem organising a tea party for our neighbours who are staunch royalists. I actually don't care about Charles or Camilla but she deserves to be Queen I know many hate her because of Diana but that lady had plenty of flaws, move on I say.

Interestingly they both had different viewpoints. Vilia was thoroughly for the invasion and went back to Argentina to support the Junta. Ossie was more upset at the whole thing, stayed in the UK and became something of a darling of the media.

The Tortellini and Tagliatelle Ragu, Magnifico Was there a few weeks ago, trio of pasta, the simple yet superb mortadella and 32 month parmesan and a nice bottle of lambrusco. We then headed to Simoni charcuterie to stock up. Watched the Leicester game in the nice cafe place opposite the station, the one with the atrium and souvenir shops. When the Mateta goal went in I was louder than us socially acceptable but they were very nice about it. Bologna for me is so much nicer then Florence, not so busy and packed with American tour groups
