Just how good is the 2nd tier of Belgium football? The first isn't exactly great.

O'Brien has done well but he needs game time in the Championship assuming that a club will take him on loan.

As for Plange and Ebiowei neither have covered themselves in glory and need to pull their socks up. Back on loan for both of them and if they don't impress next season let them go.

Adamarola is an odd one he had a disastrous spell at Coventry with rumours that the manager never wanted him anyway. That can be forgiven however back in our youth team he is only doing okay as far as I can see so no justification in promoting him.

Agree, but the loan was clearly a favour to Textor. Plange struggled there so maybe it's not that bad. Bristol City were keen on him in January so if he keeps developing a squad place or a champ loan is definitely the next step.

With 9 subs (of which 5 can be used) and the U21 now playing at the highest level we need decent squads for both. With the U21 fading in recent weeks maybe we've loaned a few too many out.

I do think JRS could be an ideal impact sub - clearly Olise will be 1st choice, but we need options and of course injuries can happen (as have impacted Olise for both the last 2 pre seasons).
The current bench looks pretty uninspiring. No options on the wings, about 4 centre mids (surely 2 is enough) and poor Jairo who never gets used.

IMHO i would always have a young, fast striker and a winger option on the bench. Maybe Gordon or Plange can be the former. JRS looks ideal for the latter.
