He was still 20 on 1st Jan 22 and so qualifies as an U21 for the 22/23 season.

Guehi / Olise for me. Guehi has hardly put a foot wrong all year and has gone from a good premier league player to one of the best centre halves in the division. Even in the games we were not winning he was still coming out on top on his direct opponent and is organising and cajouling all those around him. Eze is on fire at the moment but the awards are based on the season as a whole. I would not have any objections if Anderson won the award as well but felt we miss Guehi more than Anderson when either one was not playing. Anderson has improved defensively this year and his distribution is all class.

Jordan Ayew for me. He's played consistently well all season, summed up by a masterclass against WHU on Saturday.

I don't really understand how the young player award works if I'm honest, particularly in a season where no young player has broken through to the first team.

Andersen for me, with Guehi in second. Without those two we could be in a very ugly place at the moment. They're the two players who, along with maybe Doucoure, when they're missing end up with the whole team looking far weaker.

If he qualifies, I'd go Guehi for young player - easy to forget the guy is only 22. Olise if not.

A good post, and well done for spelling 'Andersen' correctly as it's something many HOLers struggle with!

Doucoure 100%, been consistent, hasn't had a bad game and has pretty much had to do a 2 man job.

Certainly something of an unsung hero this season.
