We have had the extra day to recover ( WH played Liverpool last night) it will be interesting to see how many players on both sides were involved in the midweek games & start on Saturday -

I can see a 2 : 2 draw with both sides being grateful being able to settle for the point.

Difficult result to call.

I would be pleased to take a point- which should all but secure our Premier League status. However, with a buzzing atmosphere - you never know!

We have failed to score in our last 2 games and both Eduoard and Mateta have, I suspect, yet to impress Mr Hodgson.
I envisage a draw but would not be surprised if W.Ham attained all the points.

Willo, are you always a 'glass half full' chap? Do you ever take an optimistic view of things?

I believe on HOL I asserted a few games ago that I was "Cautiously optimistic" that we would not plummet through that dastardly relegation trapdoor.

I accept that on HOL I have gained the reputation as a gargantuan doomsayer and a bastion of negativity.

You havnt been on much lately ? I have missed your legendary way of putting things , makes me smile

“This is a crisis, a large crisis.... in fact if you have a moment, it’s a 12 storey crisis, magnificent entrance hall, carpeting throughout, 24 hour portage , and an enormous sign on the roof saying “This , is a large crisis” - Edmund Blackadder

I have spent my time entertaining some old friends and I am involved in campaigning for the local elections.
I suspect HOL has been greatly enriched by my absence !

Finally, whilst I appreciate your plaudits and they are much appreciated, I certainly do not consider myself a 'Legend' in any shape or form.Perhaps 'Old duffer' is a more appropriate description !

I still can't help but be boosted by this news.

His leveller in the dying minutes a few years ago against Spam, seemingly out of nothing, one of my favourite Wilf memories of recent years.

Hopefully he does not tactically distract the team but under Hodgson I am more hopeful.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

I love beating West Ham, but I feel a draw would be a decent result, given that we need a couple more points for security.

There is a fair bit of pressure on West Ham in the game. If they don’t win they could be dragged right back into the relegation scrap with the 2 Manchester teams to play next.
