We have a fairly good record against Wolves in recent years. I think it's partly because they have been one of the few teams who don't press. This is not a good tactic against a team like us that have players who like to dribble and run at players. Maybe they'll be a different fish tonight. Hopefully Traore stays on the bench as he is the one player we seem to struggle with. He makes Mitchell look like a 10-year-old boy due to his size and physicality.

Yeah a much more accurate and poignant observation which I think I was trying to get at in a roundabout way TL.

We seem to struggle, especially getting goals, in the more fast and furious games. Wolves are usually a bit slower, the pitch looking bigger, and I think that suits us as you have articulated.

I’ll take the point now if offered but I am very quietly confident in the possibility of a win (not so quietly as I’ve publicly stated it now however!).

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

our early Hodson Bounce is over but defensively we are pretty sound, so I can see a 0-0.

What gives me hope is that I think Wolves won't press us like the last few teams have, so it could allow our attackers to find some freedom, so we could steal a 1-0 or 2-0.

"It was a Team effort, I guess it took all players working together to lose this one"

I do not see a reason at all that we can’t win this

Wolves 1-3 Palace
Guehi , olise, eze

A free flowing comfortable and easy victory

“This is a crisis, a large crisis.... in fact if you have a moment, it’s a 12 storey crisis, magnificent entrance hall, carpeting throughout, 24 hour portage , and an enormous sign on the roof saying “This , is a large crisis” - Edmund Blackadder

It depends what Palace team runs out on the park. If I wasn't a Palace man I'd bet on a Wolves win. But as I am a Palce man I'm predicting a 1-3 Palace win.

A point would be good but disappointing.

We have flair players and a hard working Ayew but what we still don't have is a creative Eriksen-type midfielder and even a bog-standard striker.

Pull Glen Murray out of retirement and I would be really confident !
