Is she a mentally ill lady? 100%. Does Starmer and co want her put in a box before the next election campaign gets underway. Her excuse was that this was a draft of a letter. Was never meant to be sent. And maybe she is right. The Observer is full-on Blairite. I would not put it past Starmer and his little coterie of Blairite scum to have had her computer hacked. Just waiting for something, anything, to pop up on it and then send it out to a paper more than willing to print it. Call me a whack job, call me anything, and truth be told, in this instance, its hard to deny it because I can offer no evidence. Other than a gut feeling. And that rarely lets me down when it comes to this kind of crap. Egotistical BS on my part? Possiby. But Starmer is the most toxic, stab-in-the-back politician of the modern age. And that takes some doing. Seems a convoluted way of going about things. All they needed to do is put her on Question Time and let people listen to her endless drivel. How many times has she been interviewed and not revealed herself as an idiot?

If Abbot resigns, at least he has done us all one favour.

How many times has she been interviewed and not revealed herself as an idiot? Except she has not been on it for ages. Ditto with TV interviews. She is a mentally ill lady. The entire media are aware of that hence why they have been steering well clear. Until this Sunday. As I said, hands up to any and every accusation of adding up 2+2 and coming up with 15 (which is Abbotesque in and of itself). And Abbot is a full-on political enemy of mine. So I have zero sympathy for her. But in terms of the wider game? Something about this does not sit right.

Her constituents are entitled to better representation than she can provide.

A foolish and unnecessary statement from Dianne Abbott, personally given her long service and prompt apology I would forgive. Of course Starmer is taking full advantage, what is there that is actually anti-semitic though?
Once again, do you agree with the findings of the EHRC ? I would assume not from your lack of reply. Your inability to see anti semitism in Abbott shows a tin ear and blind eye to racism. Edited by HKOwen (24 Apr 2023 11.32pm)
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

She went to a grammar school and Newnham College. Hardly outstanding. I see a woman of average intelligence who has made a career based on race baiting.

I see a woman of average intelligence who has made a career based on race baiting. I think this is largely true and back in the eighties understandable. She was the first black woman MP? at a time when there was a lot of genuine racism and she must have got it in large doses. So some of the things she said back in the day were understandable. However she has never acknowledged that this country has changed a lot since then but she hasn't and is still singing the same song. For years I have heard rumours she is unwell which if true whilst I am sorry for her she did choose to stand again as an MP. Does anyone know if she puts a shift in for her constituents or is she simply taking the money?

I heard she was good for her constituents from other people. She doesn't look particularly well but she has had a few issues hasn't she. Her son doesn't sound easy.

Essentially remake it to be more acceptable to the establishment....eg the financial markets and potential big donors. Obviously it's much more socially radical than Blair was, but not on those topics that power money doesn't like. Just another bought and sold party that is a disfigurement of the people it's meant to represent.

Or a party trying to represent a broad cross section of the electorate.

Unfortunately and by no means correctly that is how I see it all these days. The parties only ever serve as vehicles for the individuals within them to self serve. Much as I would actively oppose a lot of what Corbyn stood for at least it was for something ideological. The conservatives seek to conserve only themselves and Labour look forever conflicted as to how to position and characterise themselves for gaining mass support. There is no real ideological driver there just only ever a few remnants. I would actually welcome a host of independent candidates these days as opposed to one belonging to red or blue, not that I foresee how that would work in practice. Perhaps one who stands for red and blue? Are there parallels between Trump's proposed 'wall' and Parish's new stadium? Does Pete the Eagle have any political aspirations? Is Speroni looking to move on from the sporting and culinary world? So many possibilities...
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |
