For me it's a 2 goal win probably by 3-1. Roy has been the main change for us but not just the attacking style but by the way over the last few weeks he has made the group fitter.

Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course).

No more pies in evidence.

Rumour has it that the 'Piemen' are off to Forest to guarantee their relegation if Cooper is sacked very shortly!!

For Everton I don't think it's a must win because a) we're not a relegation candidate; b) they're away; and c) Forest are below them with a game at Anfield.

However, given they've lost 2 on the bounce they won't want that to be 3 going into two massive games at home to Newcastle and away at Leicester (before Brighton A and City H). It's therefore a must not lose game for them.

Expect them to keep it very tight and play on the counter/set pieces. If we score first they'll have to open up and we might get a couple more.

They can't defend as badly as they did against Fulham. If anyone wants a confidence boost - take a look at those highlights. Experienced Premier League defenders all over the shop.

I think that's a fair commentary ahead of game.

I also think beyond all the VAR, not turning up on the day, ludicrous goals or red cards etc. that can throw any footballing theory out of the window, I expect one of these to occur:

1. Everton do miraculously keep a clean sheet, we fail to score reverting back to prime PV, they sneak a set piece goal, or even two, very bad day at Selhurst. An early goal for them may equally see them eek out a win as they shut up shop.

2. Similar to '1.' however we do manage a single goal as do they, or equally neither team have barely a shot on target, 1-1 or 0-0, not the end of world but boring.

3. They do try to 'go for it' a bit, or perhaps even we sneak an early goal, game therefore more open and us being the better 'footballing' side see out a relatively comfortable win.

In any circumstance, we are the better team and it will have to be fortuitous for them to get anything here. Very far from impossible but we could just not turn up or equally/also have the luck totally against us but I am not in too much fear. Going for option 2 but hoping for option 3. 2-0 Palace.

I am also hopeful that Johnstone plays and therefore we look a bit more comfortable with high balls into the box. Do love Vinnie but he has no presence at these junctures.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

This is going to be a really hard fought game, unless we make a breakthrough early.

I am going for a 1-0 victory.

NOG here with first comment so please be gentle. Our ref for Everton is John Brooks and Darren England is on VAR duty. Remember the Forest match where the lines were drawn in the wrong place showing their forward onside? Same team. England is the new Clattenburg having failed to review our penalty appeal for handball in the Arsenal match, blew up early for interference denying Ayew a Palace third at City, failed to send off Haaland for kicking Andersen in the head as well as the Forest mistake. He is from Yorkshire (Leeds supporter?) so expect a 0-1 Scouse win with Palace having a goal denied by VAR, Everton awarded a penalty for an invisible handball and a pitch invasion by the scousers celebrating the win.

All I can say is that I'd love to help send Everton down.

Sadly, we have a poor record against Everton and Dyche. I'm going with a draw.

Doucoure and Onana out for them. They are weak as a kitten in the middle of the park.

3 nil Palace

Plus maybe Calvert Lewin and Coleman.

If they are this weak, 3-0.

Balance the books from our away disaster.

Actually our recent home record against them is brilliant 3-1 and 4-0 last season, not that it’s filling me with confidence, we all know what we’re like when we start expecting to win

I am a 'glass half empty' old school Palace pessimist so I can't believe we will continue our momentum.

I dwell on the second half v. Leicester and the first halves v. Leeds and Southampton which showed signs of apathy reminiscent of the latter Vieira days.

Cut out this 45 minute regression, remember we are a bottom half team and far from infallible, then, yes, we might finish the season on an unaccustomed high and chasing Chelsea for 11th place.

Like to think so and if we do the venerable Roy Hodgson will retire with great honour and my thanks. Possibly changing me into a 'glass half full', and nicer, person.

Back in October, when we got done 3-0 at their place one of my best buddies (and scouser) sent me a whatsapp that just said "Can we play you every week".

I elected not to respond to it at the time.

For some weeks I have been plotting to respond to it, and hopefully on Saturday I can send him the belated reply "Yes please" after we push them further into the relegation mire.
