Patrick V constantly whines about the "lack of black managers" in the English game.

The last straw for me was the pointless substitution of Clyne who had a decent game which cost us the game as Ward was nowhere to be seen at the short corner. Putting on a striker with 10 mins to go was just desperation.

Hanging Olise out to dry in his interview. He needs to be sacked before it’s too late. He is clueless.

I think he needs to go. Not purely on the basis of tonight's game but more on it being more of the same. The fact that after ten years in the Premier League we're starting with Schlupp, Luka and Ayew and to a lesser extent Clyne is as a poor a reflection on Steve Parish as it is the manager. The apparent discord at boardroom level, of which SP is ultimately the architect won't be helping either. On a general level the football is worse than Roy's final year or so by a distance and the unravelling after the stability he provided is a joke.

If we don’t get any points from the next two games, as seems extremely likely, we are going to be deep in trouble. Whether Parish decides to make a change at that point is debatable. Pardew was allowed to stay in the job long after he should have departed so I’ll be surprised if Vieira is sacked. Given our squad it would be very unlikely that anyone else could make a difference anyway.

The new and improved MoTD just showed our highlights… I say ‘our’ however quite literally showed nothing ‘Palace’, not one clip. Just all City’s chances. Says it all.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

Wonder how long this dry period is allowed to go on? No goals, not even shots and just relying on a solid defense and keeper. What is exactly Vieira thinking, still playing Ayew and Schlupp.

There's always a demand from someone somewhere to sack a manager, but there needs to be a replacement. Look how long it took us to hire him. A couple of points if I may... Bielsa wants a job, but only from pre-season. So there's a reasonable chance there are clubs out there considering a change but hoping they can hold out till the end of the season. Alternatively, we looked at Lucien Favre for a long time back in 2021. He is currently unemployed. Likewise Nuno Esperito Santo. I've no idea if any of these options are any better than Vieira. I guess that's a job for Dougie and Steve.
