We should hopefully avoid going down, get rid of the dead wood and the team should look something like this:

1 GK Johnstone or Guaita

RB Clyne
CB Guéhi
CB Richards
RB Mitchell

CM Ahamada
CM Doucouré

RW Olise
CAM Eze
LW Schlupp

ST Édouard

SUBs
Rak-Sakyi
Andersen
Mateta
Hughes

Time for Ayew,Luka, ward,McArthur and tomkins to move on. Bring in some new faces buy or youth.
Hoping that Zaha stays but who knows

Assuming we stay in the league, the Summer window is going to require a lot of activity to replace the dead wood moving on.

Realistically we are going to be needing 4-5 players.

If I were Parish and co, losing Guehi in this window wouldn't be ideal, as with a new faces coming in, you'd probably want some some structure to build around.

Therefore IMO £45 isn't enough, it needs to be closer to the £60m. Which in todays market isn't bad for a 22yr old England international who (by then) will have 70 PL appearances.

But we cant be scared of that, we need to sell players to progress the club, if we can sell a few for 4x what we paid for them, it will help us progress things more quickly.

You're right about needing 4 or 5 players, an RB a LB , a wide player, a really good DM and a really good striker. That's a lot of players and a lot of cash. Let's see what kind of outlay the club is prepare to make? I don't think we'll be relegated but it's not out of the question

No, i think in todays market clubs would pay that, he is certainly a better defender than Maguire and Stones, Probably Englands best CD

I'd also add if he goes anywhere it will be to a top 6 team and they may very well be looking at him.

I remember thinking Ake to City would be far less likely and that was £45million, he was several years older than Marc and Dutch. I'd rather of had Marc than B'mouth's Ake, he's also younger and English.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

But what player is actually worth what is paid for them?

Caicedo isn't worth the 70m Arsenal bided for him. Nor Fernandez, Mudryk or Gordon.

He's a player I suspect we'd want to keep hold of, so we only sell if the money is silly.

Club about to embark on a season in the Championship.
Departure of our prized player assets.
New ownership structure.
New manager at the helm.

Time will tell.

Hmm..!!

Says Willo who has been happily been predicting doom and our demise for the last 8 seasons - now in our 9th and here he goes again..!!

Perhaps this year he'll get it right - though I doubt it - I see another year of mid table mediocrity..!!

Has no-one else realised that Willo becomes a lot more active with his doom and gloom predictions about this time of year - then when we establish/retain premiership security for yet another season strangely disappears..!!

On the eve of a Brighton game at home these sound like the hopes of someone with more Brighton affiliation than he would care to admit..!!

For my penny's worth I see 2-1 Palace - what say then Willo..??

We are 12/1 to go down. How do you work out that is a 50/50 probability?

hes not Englands best center back , he’s not even Palaces best center back.
He’s a decent , no frills not very tall/dominant in the air , nice/but not great , quick enough/not Kyle Walker quick , reliable. From what I can see.
Could possibly be a Gary Cahill type (number 2 center back) at a decent club , but will never be a John Terry (number 1 main man center back).
I like him. But if silly money was offered , I’d take it.
Anderson and what I’ve seen of Richard’s last few games , would be decent.

Chelsea get the option to match any offer we get for Marc. So if he goes it will need to be for silly money considering how much they are paying for players

three weeks ago we were 26/1, the bookies odds have nothing to do do with my opinions, whats your percentage?
