and a thought it should remain. I Have a couple of Besiktas " The Black Eagles " friends in Istanbul . They were delighted when DA arrived, soon wore off.
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

I'd have thought the answer would be a very obvious 'No Way'. I do wonder what the issue is with Alli. I can't remember a better young player than him for many a long year (the best I've seen since Rooney), and now he is so, so bad that he is even stinking out the Turkish league where, lest we forget, even Sorloth scored goals. It's so easy to label the guy. Bad attitude, too much money too soon, blah blah blah. The truth is none of us know why he has gone off the boil so drastically. Life ain't simple.

Never knew it was such a poor standard. Sorloth is what he is. He's found his level and carved out a pretty decent career, all things considered. The problem is, we hyped signing him by making out like we'd brought in the next Harry Kane (or whoever). When he turned out to be nothing more than a promising Scandinavian teenager who needed at least a couple of years' time to develop before contributing, we lost interest. If we'd been realistic from the start and paid a sensible amount for him he might have bedded in here and been a competent, if average, performer. But he never had a chance to do that. Bottom line is that he wasn't a good value signing and we made the problem worse by mishandling his development. His career after leaving us only underlines that. I've got nothing against the lad. The errors were all ours, not his.

His attitude is the issue he believes he doesn't need to train and can do as he likes which as mentioned above he has been enabled to continue this. Spurs documentary features his problems Jose tried all he could but the players wasn't interested so yes it is attitude. Ravel was a far better player but had same issue attitude.

It seems to me that Alli just plain and simple fell out of love with football. He didn't suddenly decide he didn't NEED to train. The point is, he didn't WANT to train. There's a difference. But as the game was still prepared to throw obscene amounts of money at him in its determination to ignore this obvious truth (Everton bought him, after all), what was he supposed to do? Walk away and say no thanks to the millions? Alli is the monster that the money in the game has created. It blinds people to what's right in front of them.
