Really hard to know. I think we bought him for 16 rising to 20m.

But I'm not sure he's shown enough to be worth any more than 20 at the min. Circinately not constant enough to be a 30 or 40 mil player

There was a rumour that Palace turned down a bid from Spewcastle last summer but was rejected alright and it came from Parish . I reckon we could get 60-70 mill for him at a push , just enought for Gallagher and a right back .

You are correct it did come from Parish, and you know what i think of Eze and what he will become, but if it is better for the club as a whole, then it is the right decision, no one player is ever more important than the club. i think your Value is about right, if you use Grealish as a yardstick

Obviously caught up in some alternate universe Star Trek episode.
Spock: "Fascinating. We appear to be in the universe as we know it, but there's talk of Eze going for £60/70 million."
Kirk: "You can't beat a bit of Vulcan logic my old friend."
Both: "Ha ha ha haha ha!"

Eze is a joy to watch going forward with the ball - he doesn't defend as well as I would like but he definitely has class -

In this world of crazy transfer values it may well be that one day he is valued at 60 or 70 million, but I would respectfully suggest that day is not today -

If he is able to remain injury free, put in a whole season, stand out in a couple of internationals so pundits can say Eze was the matchwinner, Eze was the difference between the 2 teams - then yes I can see it -

Until then I think its just a bit premature, with his progress having been held back by that lengthy injury.

I'd say most clubs and fans probably look at this move as a massive overspend and it probably now acts as a deterrent to spending huge values on talent from so called lesser clubs.

If a team was to bid for Eze today I'd say they'd probably try their luck opening at a bid of around 25m and realistically with add ons we could probably look for a max of 40m. Obviously if he was to become more productive and influential in games during the second half of the season then this fee would rise. At the moment no one is going to play top dollar for a player who drifts in and out of games showing glimpses of magic every few games. His current level is good enough for us (which is why he's here) but not consistent enough for a top 6 club.

I would rather sell Olise then Eze... Eze suits us way more and he's a very, very likeable guy..
