Having watched Bournemouth last night, they bear similarities to Palace in as much as they look ok until the final third.

I think it will be a tight game. I'm going for a 1-1.

But we really need 3 points. Next fixtures are Spurs at home, Chelsea away, Newcastle at home, Man Utd away.

I think there are 2 potential scenarios :

* we strengthen the squad in January and manage to get some points from those games, or ;
* we'll be looking for a new Manager. Something I really don't want to happen.

Should we lose at Bournemouth (God forbid), then lose the next 4 (Perfectly feasible) I suspect we will be looking for a new manager.

I of course do not want this scenario to unfold, in fact I very much doubt that we will emerge the vanquished in our next 5 games.

Typically pro Palace from you Willo, I bet you’re the go to man at a party.

Dressed to the nines, hair perfectly gelled, shoes polished to a shiny buff, creaking like a Tudor door's hinges as I gyrate on the dance floor.

I imagine PV will play the same midfield, again. We'll get overrun, again. We won't get a shot on goal, again. We'll come out flat and disinterested, again. And we'll lose, again.

I mean, that's been the last 2 matches, and he said post-match that he couldn't understand it, so why would anything change? The first step is admitting we have a problem, and we apparently aren't there yet.

0.5xg for us, 1 shot on target. Another game where we look utterly toothless when a side gives us the ball and stays compact knowing we won't do anything to break them down. Vieira says the right things after but does little to change anything all the same

0-0

If we don't get a convincing win, I will all but write this season off, I haven't enjoyed it much, World Cup seriously affected that too... the fans on-line piss me off... miss the championship days to be honest..

We have been lucky that most of the other Boxing Day results went our way.

3-0 Bournemouth.

Perusing the comments it does appear that the reservoir of positivity apropos our team has run a tad dry and expectations are not merely low but subterranean.

I suspect that another defeat will be the catalyst for Vesuvian eruptions with the 'Vieira Out' bandwagon in full swing.

I am well known for being an 'Elijah of doom' on HOL but I am not expecting us to be defeated at Bournemouth.

More a case of the fixture schedule pitting teams above us against teams below us in 7 of the matches with all 7 resulting in wins for the teams above us. The other 2 matches were a match between two teams above us ending in a draw and one between two teams below us ending in a win for the bottom team. The overall outcome is that we remain 11th and remain 6 points clear of the drop zone.

As to Saturday's game I have no idea which Palace team will turn up. I can hope that it won't be the one that turned up for the last two league games, otherwise we'll be in trouble.

Why not just give up now and accept that we will be playing in the Championship next season!!

Fulham came into the game on the back of three defeats and the mighty Bournemouth are there for the taking,if we get our act together. What has gone so wrong which cannot now be put right?

I have!

It will be interesting to see if PV sticks with the same team (bar Mitchell).

For me I would get OE up front. Swap Eze with Zaha. And Schlupp for luka.
