The House of Lords, the whole thing looks like a circus.
Analysis was done by................the Liberal Democrats LMAO A meaningless headline. Might as well have said " could buy 61 million pairs of socks for the sockless "
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

The Sunaks move in looks like they plan a long stay. Out is boring old Osborne's 'tired' decor, in with plush furnishings and a £3,750 gilt 'Nuryev' (thought he was a dancer) drinks trolley. Just what the nation needs. The Sunak new PM bounce has, one might say understandably, at a time when people are going hungry, never really materialised. A huge poll lead for Labour of 26% the tories below 20% for the first time.

Are you talking about 10 or 11 Downing St? Were these things paid ( drinks trolley )for by the taxpayer, I read somewhere but don't remember where that Sunak paid for new carpets in no.10 himself. I think he is a terrible out of touch PM but won't criticise him for spending his own money

Sunak, who is teetotal, attracted some criticism from drinks industry bodies over the summer during his first leadership campaign for his support for raising duties. One of his fiercest critics was Miles Beale, chief executive of the Wine & Spirit Trade Association (WSTA). In response to the news of Sunak’s victory, Beale said: “The wine and spirit sector needs a period of stability in government accompanied by sensible and fair policies which will allow them to recover, invest and grow. We hope that the new PM, Rishi Sunak, and his Cabinet – including his Chancellor – focus on delivering policies which support growth, support British businesses of all sizes and which avoid unnecessary, costly red tape and punishing taxes.” Therefore, the best thing to do is buy a drinks trolley and keep it well topped up.

My socialist drinks trolley has none of the garish glitz and bad taste of Rishi rich. The 'Stalin' model may be minimalist but it conveys alcoholic refreshments for all, not just the few. The collection of cans and the empties and vino terrible and potato crisps give one a feeling of comradeship and community, which may result in ministers being slashed right out of their trunks. Ah, for a Labour government again.

Firstly the infamous drinks trolley was bought by Boris Johnson and not Rishi Sunak and secondly I hope that you aren't going to adopt the childish nicknames that our late unlamented HOLer over used

I lament his passing, he was fun and had lots of energy. Just went weirdly off the rails at the end, which happens to many people that try to go against the prevailing philosophy on this site.
