well its either incompetence, rank-selfishness or deliberate dereliction of duty.

do you blame the crowd management team or the crowd ?

its hard to tell. People behaving like c...nts, would be the technical term when it causes a loss of life. And all just to get into a bleedin concert.

Similar to Euro final situation anyone? Or is an uncomfortable comparison for some?

Of course it's similar. Scumbags trying to get something for nothing and using force in order to achieve it.

Just out of interest, what were the entrance prices? I'm living in Ireland. Pretty much any average concert is going to be over 100. A lot, lot more in some cases.

Having listening to a bit of Asake on YouTube, I'm surprised that people were not crushed in a stampede to get out.

I don't know if people would consider that a lot, or not. I consider all of the concerts and festivals in Ireland vastly overpriced.

Not invalid points although with some context, it was in response to people questioning why the deaths of those children in the Midlands due to falling through the ice was mentioned in context with the death of this lady.

However, I will concede the point about affording the lady's passing some dignity by not making a huge issue around the reasons why she had attended that night.

Yes, that's fair, I get your view that it's not entirely like for like.

Apparently she was an autism campaigner and nursing graduate. All taken away in a moment.

Trying to keep people safe against an over-whelming mob mentality.
It must truly have been ferocious inside and outside the venue.

Unbelievable attitude from Brixton Academy as for Lambeth Council they are shocked and saddened at what happened but not that bothered considering this also happened 3 years ago and they did nothing then.

The game of pass the buck has started how long before it ends up in the hands of the Met.

It goes on everywhere. I remember doing it at Selhurst for the Blackburn 2nd leg play off game. I was drinking back in those days & remember thinking jeez we're 3-1 down from the first leg I'll easily get a ticket but when I turned up it was jam packed. I gave the guy on the turnstile 20 quid & I'm going to bet I wasn't the only one who gave him a back hander, I bet that he made more than enough spending money for his two weeks in Benidorm

Snap, I'd traveled down thinking it'd be easy nabbing a ticket but had no joy. Luckily someone tipped a few of us off that 'this kind gent will let you jump the turnstile', few quid later & we're in.

if you read some of the stuff online about this gig, it is apparently the modern version of that, apparently very lax on checking tickets as they are all QR codes...not unexpected to be fair...would be a pity for it to shut down was one of my fav places back in the day
