I expect it to be a tougher game than West Ham as I think they actually believe they are in a fight against relegation. Six weeks ago I would have put this down as a confident win but they've had more time to learn each others names now and they have some talented individuals. Having said that, Zaha seems to have the bit between his teeth and Eze and Olise are finding form, so I'm going to go for a 0-2 win to us.

Hennessy had a good game v Spurs but I expect he will be back on the bench. I'll be rooting for Wales at the WC now that Southgate, predictably, did not pick any Palace players

2-2

Felt encouraged watching Forest play Villa a few weeks back where, at home, they just sat back and although they mostly kept Villa out their defenders looked clumsy with some of their challenges around the box.

A few years ago, we had no idea how to score against a low block. Now, with Eze, Olise, Zaha sat on the edge of the box, I'll always back us to score against that low block.

Aurier has a Zaha lunge resulting in a penalty written all over him as well.

do you not think that in his opinion they are just not good enough and that it has nothing to do with predictability!

Or perhaps, not yet ready for a major tournament. It's one thing to trial a player in a friendly or a qualifier but the main events (World Cup and Euros) requires something more. Of our 3 potential WC players:
- Mitchell has regressed and needs to get back to where he was when he got his (let's face it - surprise cap.
- Guehi hasn't pushed on as much as I, for one, would have liked but he still better than Maguire (who looked lost against Villa last night and was poor in his last England game) and Coady (chosen for dressing room banter, perhaps)
- Eze is only just beginning to prosper and the World Cup has come too soon (also, Maddison deserves his place ahead of Ebs as he's been performing consistently throughout this calendar year).

I can see both Eze and Guehi making the Euros in 18 months time, though.

But back to the Forest game, I still see it being tight but hoping we can nick it 0-1 or 1-2.

All very fair.

As much as I love Ebs, England are seriously stacked with attacking midfielders, we could put out 2 or 3 top front 3's.

Guehi is the one that I'm a bit pissed about. Connor Coady isn't bad, but he isn't great, and nor is he the future of the England team. Its highly unlikely he is getting on the pitch at any point, and if he does, lets be honest, football isn't coming home.

Guehi on the other hand has been with England at every level and captained most/all of them. And at 22 the FA must have him down as future England captain candidate. So wouldn't it be more beneficial for him to experience a tournament and sit on the bench vs the nearly 30yr old Coady?

Is Edouard fit, do we know?

I assume he'll start if he is?

Why would anyone chose to be a Seagull? The Eagle is a far superior creature.

The Seagull lives under it's damp pier meekly looking out, blinded by the sheer quality of the Eagle's palace.

I don’t think any of ours are good enough. If they’d gone, they wouldn’t have played and may have got injured in training. A holiday and refreshed for the second half of the season sounds good to me.

From what PV said today, it's not certain. Edouard trained with the team and will travel, apparently, but PV sounded far from certain that he would actually feature.

I expect to see the XI who started the West Ham game with Wilf playing centrally again.
