It will be interesting to watch Wilf reaction at the end of the game on Saturday, (that's if he doesn't see red against WP) although technically he could play against Fulham on Boxing Day if a deal has been agreed he wouldn't play. I'd imagine he'll be with us until the end of the season. I can't see anyone stumping up the cash that'd tempt us to let him go halfway through the season. I could be wrong. I hope he gets a decent move at the end of the season. We have to evolve at some point without him, so if he signs a pre- contract with someone then we'll at least have time to prepare... hopefully still in the Premier League.

Surely, we won't let Wilf go mid season? Not sure what will happen on Saturday, however, we'll certainly lose if we play like we did last week.

1-2 or 0-2 I think we're in trouble, I'm afraid to say.

A brief look at saints forums indicates the majority would be happy with a draw. I reckon we will win 3-0 or 3-1

I predict that Ward-Prowse will be a pain in the neck, as he always is. Just ignore him, Wilf. Can't stand Southampton. Dislike them more than Brighton.

Not sure I agree with this. I have been to their stadium 4 times in recent years league and cup and we won 3 and drew the other.

Last 27 league games: Won: Goals Clean sheets But I'm thinking going way back to the 60's and we've never had the best record.

If we play anything like our away form or our first half home form we are going to get thumped. They are our bogey team with Ward-Prowse lighting the touch paper to a highly inflammable Zaha. We must win 80% of our home games because as sure as God made little green apples our dismal away performances will drag us into the bottom three and after Southampton we have no more home games until Boxing Day. Away to West Ham, Newcastle (cup) and Forest don't look promising.

It really does depend on the team PV picks. If he puts Hughes next to Doucs so we focus on ball retention and playing through their press then I will be confident, as well as if he eases up on our disjointed press and we play in a mid block to draw them up the pitch and create space for us to attack into in transitions. If he sticks Ayew and Jeff in there and still thinks we can play our way up the pitch we'll see yet another slow first half that we have to rescue Don't really rate Saints much but they always give us a game and generally they're quite back and forth between us, I'd argue with them edging it technically and us looking more dangerous on the counter. I don't really trust this side at the moment so I'm saying a 1-1
